Not sure. What does he get from being liked by the media? That's the beauty of being filthy rich. You don't care what anyone says.
Well less negative press about Lance, his performance and rational questions about the team given how poorly Lance is compared to most on the grid. Its a never ending issue and sure, being rich gives you the power to ignore, until it doesnt as in Lance' case. He is simply not that good and his fathers team suffers in the press in literally financially due to Lance' lack of results. So yes, there is literally a case of using the press to SHAPE a MORE FAVORABLE narrative.
That depends on what the press is aiming for. I maybe saw one reporter press Lance about his performance in one race and Lance didn't like the question. SkySports F1 commentators very rarely press Lance about his performance let alone his father as too why he has a son whom is under performing. They(press) can press Horner about Max's "performance" or Max himself but when it comes to the Strolls, the press at the paddock turn a blind eye.
But why would Lance Stroll bother "to shape a more favorable narrative" ? He doesn't care about that, and the detractors will always be there to criticise him anyway. That would be an exercise in self-humiliation and a total waste of time.
At this point, you have to wonder—does Lance even want to be here? Or is this just Stroll living out Papa Stroll’s dream, with Lance as the unwilling avatar of his vicarious ambitions? If so, that would be the real tragedy.
At this point, I don't think we have to wonder. It's being reported that Lance Stroll just poisoned his father in order to get him to stop. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don’t have issues with people born on 3rd base. Also got no issue with Papa being dad of the century. Besides, his money, his perogative. My only issue is Stroll is just zzzzzzz. Also if I was a Qatari, I would have to question the brand equity at this point.
Agree - no issue with people born on 3rd base, just have an issue when they think they were born in the batters box and earned that 3rd base. Even then, Lance is a talented and skilled driver, just not F1 talented and skilled.
In my teens I played drums in MS and HS band. Technically I was very good. Give me a sheet of music and with a little practice I could play anything. However, artistically I had/have ZERO talent. Give me a blank sheet of paper and I couldn't create a simple riff. I view Lance in the similar terms. To be a champion, or even a good journeyman, requires more than simple technical ability.
After a fresh report linked Max Verstappen to Aston Martin, Jacques Villeneuve has warned the four-time champ that wins come with teams like Ferrari and Mercedes, “not with Aston Martin”.
For every decent statement Villeneuve makes, he makes 10 idiotic ones. Guess which one this belongs to...
Newey is fine its Lance the weak, that is the only real issue. Also it wont be a 26 car that Newey will have the most impact on. It will be the 27 most likely. Other than that they are not close to being at the front. Major management changes plus integrating Newey and a 25 car that is not going to be fully developed fully imply Aston is not about to light up the grid.
