John Elkann has grown up surrounded by unimaginable wealth and has more than once been pretty oblivious. Wearing Adidas is no different and I imagine he had no clue or even care.

Years ago he looked like a pretty big goof when he gave a speech saying that the youth of today don't know how to work hard. Even if that were true the messenger should show a little more judgement as he is hardly one to talk.

Oh and for those who don't know Adidas was started by two brothers and when they had a falling out, one went and started Puma so the company are fierce rivals. Add in that they are also a sponsor of Mercedes and the mistake is even amplified further.

First time ever there has been coordination between several cameras at various points of the circuit there for an F1 driver debut.

Nope, I was wrong but seemed to read that he would be. For the Barcelona test both will drive for sure.

Check that, he WAS there, see Leclerc thread.

That's good to know because I haven't seen a single Charles post or article.

If one were to judge the team based off their PR it would seem they just bumped Charles to number 2. Hopefully he's silently fuming and ready to kick Lewis' ass from day one.

Mistake to wear what you want .............sure. Call Elkann and remind him of his moral obligation and the PUMA/ADIDAS brothers wont be bothering him and if they do they will have a laugh over it. Its shoes not morality.

What would you say if Elkann parked his Mercedes in front of the Ferrari factory? Of course he can wear whatever he wants in his free time, but not at a Ferrari marketing event. We´re not going to make a tragedy about that, but it shows some clumsiness. Despite being the current Pope of the North I´m pretty sure somebody had a word with him and he has taken note.

Agreed. I'm sure the public relations dept. had a word with him. Puma might(highly stress) sent an email regarding the matter.(No way to confirm that.)

This the bit where Alain, Nigel, Fernando and Seb got out of the car and thought, ****, my predecessor was better than I thought.

Hummmm For years Enzo Ferrari didn't have one of his cars registered in his name.
When he was seen around Maranello at the wheel of a 250 GTE or a 330GT, it was one from the factory, or a client car he was testing.
At one point, his personal convenience was a Peugeot 404*, but he had several FIATs too, probably more practical in Modena traffic.
So he was constantly shown in newspapers driving ordinary cars not bearing his name; I don't think it ever harmed his business though ...

*That became known when Peugeot used in an advert a photo showing Enzo Ferrari driving one of their cars, and an Italian journo checked who owned the car !

Social Media and brand sponsorship is different now as opposed to back then. They(photo journo's in Italy) didn't take pictures of the Commentadore driving said cars and then publishing them. Nor did the manufacturers of said cars publish articles of Enzo driving or being driven in said cars.

My recollection is that the arrival of the Peugeots was facilitated by Michel Paul-Cavallier of Pont-a-Mousson(sp) a SEFAC board member? He also owned some incredible one-off Ferrari in the day.
Not positive about this but it makes a good story.

I don't think that it's Angela Cullen? If so she really let herself go.
