If you want a peek into the Ferrari foundry see last's night's episode of James May in Italy (just go to SBS online and whizz through the junk until you come to the F Roma). Amazing to see that the main item is still cast in a way that would be recognisable from a 1900s foundry! Also interesting to realise Ferrari are the only European car maker who still cast their own engine blocks.
Note to self - do not go and see a movie just because it has one great actor in it (in this case, Anthony Hopkins) if you haven't read the reviews... "Locked" is a steaming pile of the proverbial.
