I think Ferrari held just a little bit back on the Pista vs the Challenge model. Hopefully they will be less restrictive with the VS model.
The above render looks absolutely amazing, but several details are not accurate.
Basd on what I heard I am getting some 'baby F80 vibes'.....

Maybe Ferrari will put some twist on things because they like to do that sometimes, but most likely it will be very similar production and obtainability as Pista

Good news - hyper club XX's set bar high. Tried for XX carbon pkg but denied - F80 livery design postings are insane.

i specifically asked my dealer and they confirmed there has been no such communication from HQ on qualifications including that you need to have a 296 to get an allocation. We will only know once it is released or folks start getting calls from their dealers.

We will see - hope it mirrors SF90XX requiring SF90 until the XX arrives.
Ferrari / dealers have a strategy, Ferrari owners enthusiasts etc these are fun times.

Most people in the know are saying not as strict as SF90 XX.
This will be 3 to 5 times the number produced. So it makes sense right? Ferrari will be happy to sell people cars who seem like good customers but don’t necessarily adhere to a strict formula. They are constantly updating their algorithms and criteria because their objectives in the allocation process can change year to year and model to model.

Anyone that wants a 296VS will be able to buy one in my humble opinion. They will keep making them until there is not a single buyer left.

Yeah I don’t think it’s quite like that home slice.

Again you’re looking at approximately 2,800 GTB VS and 1,700 GTS VS over the entire production run, and that has to be allocated across the entire globe. So you’re looking at less than 10 cars per dealership per year. So it’s still going to be a fairly exclusive and tough to get allocation. Don’t kid yourself.

I think you’re over hypothetically producing by 1000 units. But we’ll see!

I’m sure it will look great but it will be very expensive and will depreciate a lot, so I guess we’ll see what happens.

Yeah, I believe so too.. Same thing Porsche is doing with the 3RS.

    I'm still getting a 3RS though :)

It’s what these manufacturers SHOULD do with the cars that people ACTUALLY want!

Marketing / been counters set production with supply partners before announcement - esp LE.
Parts suppliers need to produce X - factory lines can't afford to just open / close. Dealers submit eligible lists - a lot more than "just keep making em" - silly.
US Dealers avg. 50 cars per year - VS coupe / spider we will see.
    1600 Comps maybe 10 - 20% - Puro production unlike prior.

Ferrari profits first - we know this.
Signing Hamilton - 7B value add well before arrival let alone race / win for Ferrari.
What they should do ... hard to argue with ongoing success.
I ordered F1 signatures - it's now a stamp vs real signatures at same price.
Love what Ferrari is producing on LE's - fast aggressive aero is a welcome change.

According to the current statements, you don't need a 296 in the garage for a 296 vs if you are already a VIP customer.

I'm still confused when it's said "anyone who wants one will likely get one" when I could not get in on gtb or gts allocations.

That will be true until they run out of orders then it will be opened up to all and sundry. This is a game of not leaving a single euro on the table.
