    I have heard what I would call an "EXTREMELY strong rumor" that there will be a change in the exhaust note/sound of the F80. I will not go into details but almost all regions where the car will be shipped to will be happy!

    Stay tuned...

    So true. They should have said I can have it if it is not sold out yet which means no que for wait list.

    This visit will strengthen my position among the buyers within waiting list.

    Back to F80, still I haven’t heard any update from Ferrari regarding deposit and so on.

    I wish they add 1 seat option to further distinguish from the line up and also change in policy of how much it will cost. Also no Aperta.

    My bet is that they develop a unique system for non Eu countries. Obviously, that will be the version used for media drives and Ferrari marketing material.

    I hope this rumor is true.

    Also must say, that after more and more time and after see pictures from Cavlino Classic and other videos I say that take back my words how wrote that instead F80 I would take SP3. Not will lie, I am not fan of front black part and front lights and sound is not good. But if they rebuild exhaust it will very good step. F80 is for me most important Ferrari for next decade and last 3 or 4 years I waited on final car so I expected 100% perfection, therefore after show time I later started see parts which for me not looking good (front black part and front lights :D) and when heard that sound I thought that it lost soul. Therefore I started be later little disapoitment.

    But now after read your post I found hope. Also it is technique masterpiece. I think now not exist car like F80 which on road is like normal road car but on track it is like racing car. If will later chance for customers repaint originaly that front part it will perfection.

    I cant wait when will have chance see F80 first time live. Congrats to you and everyone other future owner of F80 !!!

    Is there a hypercar that is not a masterpiece? Apart from some that drive badly... Hamilton said that his Pagani was awful to drive.


    It has nothing to do with engine size; it has everything to do with natural aspiration (and other parameters, such as RPM, firing order, crankshaft type, exhaust configuration and obviously emissions and noise regulations).

    I recently heard a rumor Ferrari will advise against the purchase of an F80 if you are over 1.86m tall. Any truth to this?

    (I doubt it but I wanted to ask anyway…)

    I’m 1.86m and had no problem to fit in the car, even the passenger seat was ok ( but maybe not for long trips)

    When we compare the Ferrari special series SF90XX with the Lamborghini Revuelto, we curiously see that in terms of combined power and performance on paper the differences are relatively small. The SF 90XX accelerates slightly faster, this is probably due to its lighter weight around 200 kg, but has a lower top speed. However, the big difference between these two cars is the combustion engine. In the SF 90, the most performing series model when it was launched, Ferrari completely abandoned the V12 engines and opted for the V8 turbo. Ferrari always claimed that this was an inevitability of hybrids given the need to have combustion engines with a smaller capacity. There were many who believed in this theory of inevitability presented by Ferrari but those probably never asked themselves - if the LaFerrari is a hybrid with a V12 na why the modern hybrids can’t be the same?

    The problem with a lie or a half truth is that sooner or later it ends up being discovered and that is what seems to have happened after the Revuelto appeared. The Revuelto, like the SF 90 and SF 90XX, benefits from hybrid technology to improve its performance but does so in a very different way using a V12 na engine developed for that purpose and which sits longitudinally. Thanks to Lamborghini, today we know that the coexistence between a V12 engine and a hybrid system is still perfectly viable without causing any significant loss of performance or affect the driving experience. On the contrary, when is compared the sound quality of the Revuelto's V12 na engine with the one of the SF90's V8 turbo, we realize that a mediocre sound is not an inevitability on a modern hybrid Ferrari .

    Regarding the driving experience of the Revuelto vs the SF 90 this is an excerpt of what EVO magazine wrote after testing the former “The comparison with the SF90 is instructive because the two cars' differing approaches are so obvious and tangible….. the Lamborghini has deliberately tried to hide the various levers it's pulling and create a very natural, almost classical dynamic feel and balance. The torque vectoring may be over-speeding the outside wheel in low-speed turns……..but you don’t feel that. Nor is there the sense that the four-wheel drive is constantly massaging and managing the balance. In an SF90 there's a lot of manipulating going on and you know when the front axle is fully engaged and trying to drag the car straight. It's fascinating but often counter-intuitive, and the lack of consistency can make the car a bit of an enigma to untangle. The Lambo is a breeze to read and explore by comparison.”

    Apparently an SF100 is already on the way, but everything indicates that Ferrari will continue to insist on the V8 turbo path, probably so as not to have to develop a V12 specific for hybridization

    I agree with you, signore @ingegnere !!! The F1 available to customers was rated at 340 kph top speed, and people who drove it said it was unstable beyond 200 kph. R&T magazine had clocked the Enzo being quicker in terms of acceleration and much better to drive. I really don't understand why the F1 is so highly valued and vaunted.

    The F1 is already 30 years old, let´s not forget that. Compared with the rudimentary F40 or a truck like the Porsche 959, it was a quantum leap.
