I presume the register plate on 0300M is a made up fancy copy of the provisional paper plate issued in May 1953, not a proper Italian registeration.
I would presume it was shipped from Brussels to New York together with 0361GT as soon as the motor show closed.
0454MD as driven at the 12 hours of Sebring March 13, 1955. I’ve only got a handful of color photos of the car from period and while I know it’s “blue”, can anyone say which blue the accent diamonds were? I had read “White & Imperial Blue” were the international colors for cars from the United States but I’d like to confirm so I can get this repainted in the proper colors. That was Gleb Derujinsky driving early on when he slid into the sand and hay. Masten Gregory took over after that off and Tony Palmer-Morewood then had his own drama with a fuel line fire in the trunk which he extinguished with sand bailed in his helmet! Barely half the field that started that race finished and 0454MD was one of the ones who made it across the line. Here’s an article/accounting with photos from Car Life June 1955. Several Ferraris in the hunt including the Hill/Shelby 750 Monza that placed second. This is also the race Bob Said hit an ambulance on track with his Monza 0494M on lap 3. Really an interesting read and you can almost hear the announcer giving the play by play of the action… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Did #18 place 8th or 9th? 22 = I also have the name Alcorta, maybe Miguel Schoeder-Alcorta? Or a third driver? Marcel Massini
My notes: #10: DISQ due to incorrect entry into pits / taking short cut after getting off track. #20: DISQ due to push start For #8 I have César Rivero instead of Oscar Rivero.
It seems Oscar Alfredo Gálvez was 8th with his Ford T. For Schroeder, must be this pilot : https://retropilotos.com/index.php/s2/1553-schroeder-miguel-angel

Like the Tour de France ? Why not ? Thanks ! Today should be the Coppa d’Oro Bolide Rosso won by Palmieri with 0296MM but I’m not sure of the date and if the picture in the 1955 Ferrari Yearbook is the good one.
For the Coppa d'Oro Bolide Rosso I have also 06.02.1955 as date. However, my notes list Inico Bernabei as driver of 0296 MM (result: 2nd) and Vittorio Colocci as winner in 0340 MM
Strangely the entry list I have gives n144 for Colocci. Perhaps he managed to switch from the « Sport » class (14x numbers) to the « Sport Serie » one. Also in the results are Matrullo, presumably with his Ferrari-Alfa special, and Guiseppe Bianchi, with 0303 EU I assume. F. Bornigia had an entry for a Ferrari 3000 but apparently he did not show up.
My fingers and nose are freezing just seeing this brave pair in the 500 Mondial spyder. Had a nice chat again with Maurice Louche at Retromobile wednesday. Good man and his archive is just brilliant.
