The closing snap button (#60094604) on my fuse panel cover (lower left hand corner) is missing and most of our sponsor sites list it as NOT AVAILABLE. Have any of you devised a substitute that works well and looks half-way decent? At present I have a sheet metal screw holding the cover closed but I view it as nothing more a stop gap measure. Any hints or recommendations for a better device. I'm also considering a wing nut as another possibility, one that would provide quick access without tools in case of an electrical emergency, but...if there's a better way, I'd like to know.

Man, If it’s the same as a 77, I just found those online recently and decided I didn’t need it because mine was fine. But I may have bought it. I’ll look in the garage later today to see if I bought it. I can’t remember where I found it online. Maybe Dinoparts or Eurospares.

Those Tenax fasteners were a common item on British cars for tonneau and soft top retention. Available from many sources.

I'm reasonably sure the 76-77 interiors are the same, so if you find that you have it, let me know--and thank you.

Tenax fasteners are easy to find and inexpensive.

Believe '76's used a dzus-like fastener to hold the fuse box cover in place. Not sure if the changeover to tenax fasteners happened sometime in '76 or in '77.

I think Gahh is where I saw them. Unfortunately, I searched through the drawers in the garage and I don’t have it. I must not have ordered it when I realized mine was still OK.
