Soon testing will give an indication of what to expect for both drivers and the team. Not much can be hidden when so little initial testing is allowed!
Whether you like LH or not ar least he has put the #44 back on a Ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Number 1 is the only number that matters.. Every other number is Jinxed ... Lets see what Lewis can achieve.
Only nine drivers in Formula 1 history have won a race after turning 40. Lewis Hamilton could become(highly stress) the 10th ever & the first in over 30 years this upcoming season. Image Unavailable, Please Login
With the last one to do this being Nigel a British driver and Lewis also a Brit, the UK press and TV will go absolutely gaga. Crofty will need some tranquilizer pills.
Fun fact: If Lewis wins in a Ferrari, it won’t be the first time a Ferrari with the number 44 has won a Grand Prix. Maurice Trintignant claimed victory at the Monaco GP on May 22, 1955, driving a Ferrari with the same number... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, but Nigel won with an Adrian Newey design(FW16) car.....and the FW15 won before that and the FW14 won before that. Hamilton needs a dominating car IF he wants to win on-top-of beating his team-mate as well.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile! I think odds of him at least getting one win this year are high. Wouldn't surprise me if he lucks into one or manages to squeak one out.
You're not wrong, which makes success that much more of an accomplishment *if* achieved. Can’t have it both ways, right? Hamilton's whole brand is based on proving naysayers wrong, so either he flames out - or enshrines himself into immortality on the scarlet shrine. Whatever happens, we win with an interesting season. *** Latest Odds (Vegas) Macca and Fezza tied for Constructors Max/Lando tied for 1st Leclerc 2nd Ham 3rd Putting myself in his shoes, what - stay with Toto? I don't understand what people suggest Ham should have done. Or should Rari have put what, Zhou in there? Bottas? A rookie? Stick w/ Carlos? I don't get it. No brainer for Ham - shoot the shot and take bag.
Here are my reasons: 1) Drivers - Hamilton is going to have to deal with Max, Lando, Oscar, Russel, Leclerc and quite possibly Alonso. Maybe, just maybe Lawson as well although I don't hold Lawson in high regards. 2) SF-25 - it has a new push-rod suspension(front) as this is totally new to the Scuderia which requires a new chassis in this current formula. Ferrari has always had correlation issues from the track to what the model is used in the wind tunnel. 3) Ferrari strategy - It's not like RedBulls or Mercedes so I'll just leave it at that. That's why I said the odds and probabilities are stacked against Hamilton in winning a race at his current age(40) based on these issues.
Interesting odds change. He started out in fourth at +800. Will be watching to see what it as right before Australia.
Glad F1's former caretaker agrees with my view on Sir Loulou's prospects in Maranello; no one has a sharper understanding. https://f1i.com/news/530342-ecclestones-dire-prediction-hamilton-wont-last-at-ferrari.html
Oh a prediction lol. Not really news. He knows as much as tree bark. No one knows. I hope for good results that help Ferrari. Bernie ............is rather old news and is overtly negative in most reguards. Its not a surprise Liberty stopped using him as an advisor.
