whoa... this was my car for 13 years! Can't believe that they changed the interior color, added a stripe and a manual conversion. A bit sad actually to see that happening. I feel like I was a bad custodian of the car looking at how it is being transformed.
They have had the car for sale for about 10 months now, with an asking price that varied widely. I wonder what is the sales' strategy at that dealership.

Once you decide to let go of a car, you can no longer take credit or blame for what happens to it next.
I’m guessing the market for long outdated paddle shift transmission cars is pretty small, even more so at the CS price point. Conversions make them a lot more appealing to a wider range of buyers. I can speak from direct experience since I was never a buyer of a CS until conversions were possible. I bought one of their already converted cars last year and have zero regrets.

Having owned multiple gated cars I still love my " long outdated paddle shift transmission " the CS is so special IMO.

A flawed perspective. If that were the case then we could say to the 250 GTO owners "...I'm guessing the market for long outdated carburetor cars is pretty small, even more so at the Ferrari GTO price point... "

The Stradale is a noteworthy Ferrari for a reason. Whether a conversion car ~ or correct, they remain respected for their merits.

I think you can say exactly that to 250 GTO owners. The market for those is exponentially smaller than for a CS. I personally don't know anyone that has $50 million to burn on a car:eek:

To each their own of course but I don't see the appeal of a manual CS. It was never offered with a manual. It's supposed to have the F1 gearbox.

OK, it's not as smooth as modern gearboxes but ... they didn't exist in 2003.

I would assume that in Europe conversions are less popular than in the US, for two reasons:
    1) stronger focus on originality
    2) less overall fascination with stick shift, since seems to be more common in general

I understand why people convert to gated, in the end it is a matter of personal preference. It's great that we have options now in any case

Can’t speak to #1 but absolutely correct on #2. The US market is probably the only reason manufacturers still offer 3 pedal options. The E60 M5 was only made in a 6 speed to appease the American buyer (although it was apparently sh*t). Same for 911’s.
I have zero interest in paddle shifted cars, so my view is skewed. To each their own, indeed. Great to have options.

Exactly why that new acquisition needs to go under the knife. The outrage here would be spectacular
