Finally got this. Pre-ordered some time last year then was delayed and delayed again. But it showed up before I headed out on my road trip. Wears much smaller than the 40mm size. Great quality though and a true GMT.

Holy crap! Really cool piece.

I was offered one when they first came out but couldn't see myself ever wearing it so I passed. But it's such an amazing piece of horological history and engineering.

I've been on the hunt as well, picked up one not too long ago. Besides C+T, Eric Wind and 10 Past Ten are the others I've spoken with. I've come to learn there's a lot of these "vintage watches" that are, not exactly Frankenstein, but in vintage car speak, not matching numbers. But that's a topic for on another thread.

I decided it’s just too big and pretty uncomfortable as well , so off it went.

 

Makes sense. It's more of a display only collectors piece for the sake of having it rather than wearing it, and a pretty cool conversation piece when getting together with other collectors to nerd out on the technical and engineering aspects ... there might be ten people on earth that have the wrist size to make it wearable. I really did like the idea of owning it when I was offered it, but I know myself and the novelty would have faded pretty quickly.

 

WOW! Congrats and beautiful piece. Had you handled a 6263 in the past? Or just took the leap hoping you would love it?

Fun dial. I was looking at the Bell & Ross BRX5 in ice blue with the matching silicon strap to get to that color

 

I wish I liked those silicone straps. The color/pattern choices are unlimited. Unfortunately I don’t like how they feel.

 

Agreed, but sometimes they just work as the best option without looking like a fitness watch, I think Zodiac Seawolf as an example. I do have a La Carrera Panamericana Tag Carrera on an interesting "lugged" silicon strap.
