Some sources claim that, I do not know for sure. Maybe there's a mix up with 0492 M? I any case the date on the steering box of 0474 MD is 19 December 1954. Marcel Massini
I agree that could be a confusion with 0492M. Anyway, we are sure 0492M was not the 1955 New York show Scaglietti spyder…
Image Unavailable, Please Login Here is an article that may have caused some confusion. On the left, Josie von Neumann at wheel of 0474MD. On the right, the famous snake skin interior. Of course, not 0474MD but rather 0492M which was raced the same week-end by John von Neumann.
BTW, some sources list a race at Circuito do Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro (Brasil), on 20 February 1955 but it's most probably a confusion with the IV Circuito do Maracanã we will see on 6 March.

I understand it is Pietro not Piero Carini, as per the book "Horsemen" a Guide to Ferrari Drivers (by John Sinkgraven and Jasper Schouten). Marcel Massini
According to Circuit International 1955 there were 3 separate races instead of 1 race with 3 classes run simultaneously; Louis Rosier was 4th but 1 lap down (instead of DNF) and François Picard 6th (instead of 4th). Picard was 2nd on the grid but hit a pole during the race....

There was also a monoposto race called : Categoria Especial de Corrida (30 laps) # 6 Aurélio Ferreira 3rd (33’23’’?, 29 laps) gearbox problems from the 18 lap #10 Anuar de Góes Daquer 2nd (32’25’’9, 30 laps) (with 166 F2 from Henrique Casini ?) Some sources say Alfa Romeo for both drivers, others Ferrari... Winner : Armando Silva Maserati
No Aurélio Ferreira in my files, but I have several entries for Annuar de Góes Dacquer with a 166 in 1954.
Yes. It will be converted into sport in late 1955. I will come back to this at the end of the year. Regarding the 375 F1 of Chico Landi also converted to sport, I said s/n 2 but it should be read 5.
So the 166 F2 came to South America for Chico Landi, was then raced by Henrique Casini and finally Annuar de Góes Daquer. My notes say that chassis 106 might have been renumbered from monoposto GP-04C. If true, it was raced by Giuseppe Farina and Felice Bonetto as a Scuderia Ferrari works car in the period 1948-1949.
I have zero knowledge about these cars but it’s clear many had a previous life before being raced all around the world in private hands.
Image Unavailable, Please Login A view of the car that Chico Landi was waiting for the Circuito do Maracanã. The beautiful Scaglietti spyder guida centrale which was raced in Brazil later.
It might confuse rather than help, but the Swiss Automobile Revue published a small report of the Maracana race, apparently from a local correspondant : Barberis’ car is described as a « Ferrari-Dreiliter-Vierzylinder ».
4 cylinders ? All the newspapers from this period say « Ferrari 3.000 ». We know that 0290M received a V12 from 0288MM in 1954 but with which V12 engine 0288MM was raced and until when ? Did 0288MM then get its original engine back and 0290M get another 3.000 engine ?
