Bedard’s homecoming party about to get started
Ovechkin on a tear, hottest start ever in his career at 39 years old....and then gets injured....sucks big time. Hopefully he isn't out too long, he is 27 goals away from all time goals record and it is fun watching him chase it.

The Vegas Golden Knights only have 8 total loses on the year, included 3 in OT. They have lost only 3 home games. .736 win % easily the best in the NHL.
great game last night vs Blues. when VGK tied it at the end of the 3rd period I thought the blues were toast.
The VGK has SUCKED for the last 2 weeks. Not sure why. Its not injuries. Once again they get hammered in the 1st period and can't catch up.
Once again, the VGK gave up 4 goals in a game. Its starting to become a habit. Considering they played 20 hours earlier, I thought the last 4 minutes of the game they tried hard to tie it. But just couldn't get back the 4th goal.
Don't be sad, it's great for the game....and if anyone is going to break it, why not root for Ovie, one of the classiest players. Now, if it was Austin Matthews, then I'd be sad (or worse, I'd be sick )
Canada vs US tonight for the GOLD. All of North America will be watching (All = hockey fans). I think this has gotten bigger than the NBA, from what I hear the NBA ratings have tanked and will continue to tank. I stopped watching the NBA years ago, I have no desire to ever watch it again.
Lets see if we can break a record and have 4 fights in the first 9 seconds! The NHL is looking at expanding again to 32 teams. New Orleans looking for a team. I would think Houston would be also.
I watched the last USA-Canada game with the 3 fights in 9 seconds. I thought I was transported back to Steelton watching the Mid 70's Flyers on Channel 29 out of Philly with the great, great Gene Hart. "Let's Go Flyers and Let's Go Don Earle!"
Here's a story. During the Philly Cup years, their home games were blacked out and we couldn't get them on Philly Channel 29 WTAF. Me, Joe, and Walt would put a couple of six packs in the car and drive up to Sunbury, about an hour away during the playoffs when the Flyers would be playing either Rangers or Isles in Philly. The cable TV company up there carried the NY stations (WPIX?) that broadcast their away games. We'd sit at the bar, eat some great PA bar food, drink twenty beers, get two six packs for the ride home, and think nothing of it. Those days are gone....
Y'know Bob, we never missed a game. I can still remember all the TV sponsors of the Flyers' games. Not to mention the famous "AND REGGIE LEACH SCORES FOR A CASE OF TASTYKAKES"
That was a terrific game, terrific atmosphere....the NHL struck gold with the 4 Nations...maybe next year they will allow Russia in the tournament, as they should be there.
So here is my idea. they sbould do it every other year, sort of. Every 4 let them do the Olympics Once every 4 years something like the Rugby 7's where they have 3 on 3 five minute events. So three periods of 3 on 3 in round robin. Do like 6 "games" a day. I think it would be awesome.
