    The race you are refering to (Gilles leading but pitting for wet tyres when in the lead) was Imola 81, with a 126ck. The images you have on your post are from Imola 1980 with the T5.

    You're welcome, but one of the reasons that could add to confusion is the fact that in that same race, in 1980, during practice, Gilles drove for the first time the 126c on practice and was 0.6 of a second quicker than with the t5.

    In 1981, Ayrton Senna began his European racing career in the British Formula Ford 1600 series, driving a Van Diemen RF81. He quickly showcased his talent, securing his first single-seater victory in only his third race at Brands Hatch on March 15, 1981. Throughout the season, Senna dominated the competition, achieving 12 wins and 18 podiums in 20 races, ultimately clinching the championship title.
