Psh, at least you have room to open both doors. I have to back my car out if I want to do anything besides work directly behind it.
I can't open either door completely ... I have to squeeze myself in holding the door so it does not hit the garage beams. And I did the full manual conversion like that. Removing the seats was a really contortionist exercise.
park on it as is and only lift when working on car, its a 3ton lift but I can't remember the make..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the same idea that QuickJack is based off of, only that one's portable and this is fixed in position. the ramps/end pieces are just there because it's a low car...rather than sliding each piece in from the side like a quickjack, you drive over it.
That's a nice setup, apart from the nuisance on climbing on them all the time... if you go front first, does it rub on spoiler? Think not, ramps look long enough?
That, and a quickjack doesnt go higher than i believe 30-50cm.... i have one of these scissor lifts aswell, but i got one that i can move about in the garage, we are actually repairing a crash damaged JAG XK on there at this moment... I have this scissor lift: Volautomatische poets hefbrug elektronisch 3.0t 220v - ToolMania
