    Hi
Took delivery of my cali 30 today and love it …quite a cold night forecast here so was going to hook it up to the battery pack via the terminal in the boot
Do I just plug in and switch on ? Anything else to be aware of ?
Also if I put the boot lid down what do I do about the cable poking out ? Or do I just rest the boot lid on the cable ?
Thanks in advance for your help

I open the boot with cable attached
Yes plug in and switch on and connect the magnet
Starts red then amber then green
I put mine in a waterproof box as I’m not sure if the unit is waterproof ?
Mines outside but I connect it immediately when I get home .

It sounds like your car is too early to have the magnetic plug by the rear license plate. Connect the tender to the car first then plug it in. Check your Owner's Manual for details. If you don't have a manual, get one; it is filled with information that you will need.

thanks for the reply …all I have found so far is a reference guide but no manual
At this point I’m just wondering how I close the boot lid with the cable still attached as my connector is inside the boot

I leave the trunk lid resting at a almost closed position.
The trunk light will time out. You won't be able to start the car with the charger plugged in.

    Thanks for the reply
I assume you cannot lock the car either with the trunk in this position ?

The owner’s manual says to run the cord out the bottom right corner of the boot. That’s where I ran mine, always closed the boot lid and had no issues.

I do the same. We live in a 110 year old house and I do not trust our garage to not leak, so I put the charging unit in a waterproof box.
On the other end, I plug the battery conditioner into a surge protector, which is then plugged into the house electric.
