I don't hate on people if they are captivating, engaging or gains interest from others. Because its not their fault they harness that trait. I know sales people who are just socially interactive and interesting to talk to. That trait benefits them. I don't hate on them. I have great traits of my own.
Who kicked your dog today. Find another sport. Big world out there. So LH has a drive with Ferrari. Not his fault is it. Call Ferrari they will certainly listen...........
Lol, now why would I leave when I can witness the fall from glory and see the hype machine implode? Ferrari and Lewis are free to do as they wish as I have stated numerous times here. In fact, I don't blame Lewis at all for cashing in and milking it for everything it's worth. I do however have the right to find the avalanche of biased, one sided 24/7 press nauseating. Having my own opinion on the situation doesn't mean I'm imposing it on you or anyone else. Last I checked it's still a free world There are other drivers in F1 to support and follow. You might not know this if you read the current press but Ferrari also has another driver to cheer for.
Come on, HotShoe isn't far wrong !! F1 has been turned on its head, becoming The Great Hamilton Circus for all the wrong reasons, before the season has even started !! All this attention-grabbing is becoming nauseating for the genuine GP followers. I hope for some that this year will not turn into a massive flop, after all the pre-season hype.
I prefer drivers who weren't fashion divas...drivers like Lauda and Prost, etc. Rock stars are boring enough on their own, rock star drivers trivialize the sport.
I prefer drivers who gets results. The fashion and off track stuff is secondary. I don't mind it, but not a top thing I look at. I didn't mind Schumacher's odd fashion or James hunt fashion.
The most successful and popular F1 driver is joining the most successful and popular F1 team, and people are surprised there is a media frenzy. I have no idea why this is.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Can't quite put my finger on why that would be.
The media attention around Hamilton going to Ferrari is grossly exagerated, in my opinion. There are also 9 other teams and 19 drivers to consider, let's not forget ... It looks like the "move" is already celebrated in some quarters, as if an 8th title was already in the bag. I can understand praising success, but no before it happens ! You know what they say: "The harder they fall ..."
The frenzy is not about a 9th title. Both Ferrari and Sir Lewis Hamilton are legends. Other teams rely on a title to get media. It's not necessary with these two names.
You must not be reading/watching the media then because that’s ALL it is about now. Non stop talk of an 8th WDC like it is a sure thing. Haven’t you heard? It’s the second coming!!!! Lewis fans are on all channels blindly crowning him the victor before the season has even started. They even do it on posts where Ferrari gives attention to Charles. It’s non-stop and IMO worse than Max fans vitriol. Complete and utter, cultish fantasyland behavior oblivious to anyone or anything other than their Messiah. Makes me want to see him fail just to watch his cult lose their minds Then let’s see how the Liberty hype machine spins it!
I'm a little worried that Liberty would play around to give Hamilton an 8th title if Ferrari is close enough to make it plausible late in the season.
Since Hamilton is British and the media covering F1 is British, don't you think there's bias towards Hamilton and this ad nauseam of his talent.....even at Ferrari? I get the Italian media...they can turn on you on a dime but the British media is forever shielding their 7x WDC title holder....no matter how bad or talentless he might be.
Yeah, we are watching different media apparentley. I've heard "will he win an 8th title" which is a story line that's valid. I've heard " Can Max win 5 consecutively to match Schumacher" another valid story line. And some talk about rookies. But the most is about Sir Lewis Hamilton/Ferrari understandably so. It should be nonstop. The fans should go wild. A sport without passionate fans is weak. I don't think the fans/ media are doing enough, I hope they do more. You didn't seem to have a problem with Max fans in the past. Now all a sudden you got a problem with Sir Lewis Hamilton fans.
Here's the rub: Currently, you have a YOUNG 4x WDC title holder that has a shot going for his 5th WDC title. And you have a 40yo 7x WDC title holder going to a very long standing and notable F1 team that's been in F1 for over 75years and for 2025, have a new car with a suspension system that Ferrari hasn't tried since the S-15T(2015)....that's a ten year gap. Now looking at RedBulls and Mclarens front suspension setup, both of those teams have a very aggressive setup compared to the SF-25 and both teams(RedBull and Mclaren) have won titles with those front suspension setups. ON-TOP-OF, Hamilton has a very competitive and young F1 driver, Leclerc, whom made a 4x WDC title holder(Vettel) look like he was lackluster.
It's ALL media. Leclerc said the whole atmosphere is different at the factory. Bas was trying to make it look like its only a certain group, that's why I had to check him. And he hasn't answered my question yet.
That's the thing; we don't want all the media to concentrate on Hamilton; we are sick and tired of it ! F1 isn't a "one-man show", it's a drivers championship, not a celebrities media circus. The WDC isn't a popularity contest, nor is it won by the number of hits on media.
If we are being 100% impartial and unbiased we have to admit it is certainly a strong possibility given what they did in Abu Dhabi.
I'm not tired of it! Many are not tired of it! Believe me! In Italy, US, or anywhere many are either A: loving it or B: Not bothered by it. Having said that, I don't see the media concentrating "only "on him. I see other story lines. I've seen media focused on past champions, heck some of them have a Netflix series. This is nothing new. This is F1. Not a Loch Ness monster sighting.
It's amusing that many of those complaining about media 'hype' are of course some of the most prolific posters in this very thread. The media simply follows where the interest lies...they know Hamilton has a massive, joyous fan base... and conversely, an equally obsessed collection of malders who and constantly willing to engage with any article offered, if only to immediately volunteer their dislike with some aspect of it. No? It was very much sort of a Rhineland Cowboy look...
Lol, you expect anyone to say anything other than things are good and well at the factory? This isn't Max, of course no one is going to tell the truth after taking home millions , could you imagine they dunked on Ferrari?
