Hello, everyone! Been away from the forum for a while... updates on Project 37313 will hopefully resume in 2021.

However, I recently saw a MotorTrend documentary called "Seduced by Speed"; one of the episodes was about Claudio Zampolli and the Cizeta V16T that he built.

What immediately caught my eyes was the Muletto car on which he installed the prototype engine for testing; it appears to be an early steel-bodied euro 308 GTS/GTSi.

Does anybody have further information on this car? I managed to find only 2 pictures of it... none of them showing the V16 engine on the inside.

Fun to follow up on this today and find an old post to revive. @matumorales a little update I came across today. We all love the Jason Cammisa / Hagerty videos - one was released yesterday on the Cizeta-Moroder V16. There are some quick clips of the mule you posted above! In the video he says the same motor was lifted out and put in the development car used in the video, so this semi complete mule doesn't exist anymore - but maybe the chassis is in someone's back yard....???

WOW. The Testarossa-ish strakes and intake, group 4/5 style fender flares, extended chassis and wheelbase, the extended bruttresses, and there seems to be a widebody section added to the centerline. So many details!

@mk e would have been a good foundation for your V-12 project!!!!

Not all of us love Caminisa, but I will give credit for educating me to the fact that the car was developed and built in SoCal and used a 308 as the mule.
