I noticed that the Spiders were fitted with the Standard lighter rims.

Maybe this is to counteract the added 75KG of the folding top.

Maybe I should choose the standard rims for my spider too. And then can we spec the lighter titanium bolts? Configurator won’t allow it! ?

Anyone know if the standard rims are at no charge?

I think it’s just because they give a more heritage look. Whereas the other rims give a more modern look that aligns with the delta wing concept on the coupe.

Buyers often like to copy the launch specification style. As a result demand increases for certain options. To maintain a reasonable supply of parts the coupe launch models all featured one version wheel. The Spider instead features a different wheel to even out possible supply issues. Obviously one wheel costs more which is always the Ferrari way.

Can anyone help to define the different colors of the standard rim
First are there 3 colors to pick from?
1 Shiny silver: no up-charge (But not pictured in the dealer literature or configurator)

2 Matte Grigio: Extra charge for paint variation and the Rim seen on all the press spiders

3 Matte Black- Extra charge for paint variation. Picture seen on configurator

Sorry for this question but can’t get my mind around the marketing and software.

It seems to me the configurator displays the standard rim in silver when you choose either "standard rim" (for which the small selection dark wheel picture seems to show grigio corsa) or "standard rim grigio corsa matt" (for which the small selection wheel picture seems to actually show silver).
Anyway as usually the online configurator is crap.

Thanks for sharing the nice pictures!
The young lead designer mentioned that this rim reflect the flat side and flat details on the capote ‘ humps’.

He said the detail is like a knife had cut off the shape. So it is nice to carry this detail over to the standard rim design.

The little picture shows a Black rim
The large picture shows a silver rim

And the description reads Standard Rims

and the advertising dealer info has a large picture of the black rim and a text describing Silver Lucido followed by

    Cerchi Fusi- Grigio corsa matte.

What does Cerchi Fusi mean in Italian-fused rings?
I don’t see any ring shapes but I’m not a designer

The configurator (even dealer configurator) doesn't seem to correctly display the selected wheel colour option. So RMSC (grigio corsa) looks the same as the standard wheels in the configurator, but in real life is darker like the Verde Toscana coupe above.

I had that issue when we built mine in the configurator. It was the same color for both but I am going lighter for my car. The above is nice but a little more silver is my preference. I also did full carbon on the exterior which I normally don’t do on the v12’s because I was worried about how much plastic there is. Honestly, it didn’t bother me a bit in the car above. Sticking w the carbon but I think it looks good as is

I haven't seen the optional forged rims in person yet, but the standard glossy rims look massive and certainly gives the car presence. It looks a lot better than on the configurator. The glossy orbit grey rims in photos are tough to gauge as it depends on paint color selection for it to look correct.
