Sadly 126550 is meeting its maker. I am starting to part the car out. It is a real 6 speed car but unfortunately due to subsequent owner(s) leaving the car to rot it's just too far gone to save IMO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Northern NJ. Car has been in the area for the past 17 years or so. Essentially yes. The car sat unused for many years outside in a paved lot. Eventually the owner sold it to a friend who pulled the motor to do a reseal, then that person got an offer they couldn't refuse to sell it, and that person realized they bought a car that they were in way over their head with. The reason why I decided to part it out is fairly simple. The car quite simply is never going to be a road car again. With the OMP/GTC cage in it you cannot run traditional 3 point seatbelts and a cage in a road car is simply not safe for the occupants. Add to that that it needs a windshield (I have a new lexan piece but again, road cars should have safety glass), rear window, probably suspension work, removal of the cage, sourcing seats/interior bits, full service, clutch, a complete respray and more, the costs just don't justify saving it sadly. Hopefully it'll save a few more of these cars.
Oh man— I would not make it pretty… but rather make it fun and do a light weight outlaw build.. coil overs, racing seats , zero interior… bugs in the teeth toy!
That's basically how it was. Roll cage, legit GTC seats, loud exhaust, ECU flashed to 9200RPM redline and no carpet. As far as the goat, no idea. Goats apparently have a lifespan of about 15 years so it's doubtful that the little guy/girl is still alive. I'm sure it had a great life on the farm though.
Shoots, I always wondered where the AC compressor was on these cars! I would have put that goat under the engine bonnet and gone for a spirited drive until it was cooked to perfection!
Not a CS bonnet, GTC bonnet. Has the normal decklid without the lip spoiler but has all the other carbon bracing and lexan.
Well, it looks like @MadMaxD was wrong. He did find someone crazy enough to bring this 360 back to life (me). The paint is in horrible shape but the body is good and the title is clean. I bought it as a naked rolling chassis, but I happen to have a totalled 430 scud (I didnt wreck it, so no hate mail please), so the beast will come back to life as a restomod with a 6MT and scud drivetrain. Long live 126550!
