That's not quite true. Good quality no stories cars in original colours and maintenance up to date are selling. Anything with stories is not, the market has shifted significantly in that regard since covid, when people relentlessly bought anything.

Yes, however here's the problem. The excessive price asked for the cars above means even the best no stories 308s are not selling. The vendors need to re-align their expectations with the market. Just because something is listed for a specific price, does not determine the value. IMO, a LHD USA specification 308 GTS in excellent condition would be 50% of the same condition Australian car. I don't think an Australian 308 GTS is anywhere near $250,000 unless it was a one owner, original paint, annual services and maintenance completely up to date, A/C blowing ice cold, books, tools, receipts from new and no issues with anything deferred. With 15,000 documented from new kms.

Meanwhile, I’m living my best life with the Mondial today. 36 deg weather, out and about, cool cabin, oil and water temps perfect, and it’s brilliant to drive. Now I’m having second thoughts about selling :D

Yes, but it is a stories car being a conversion and when it comes to selling, the potential number of buyers will be limited and the price achieved will reflect that.

With all this 308 talk, don't have much confidence in unloading my HOS 308 as it's far from being normal. but then again they only did make 74 GTB QV's in RHD

unfortunately all.my documents were stolen when we got Broken into years ago when we got some cars stolen also. At this rate I will lucky at the standard asking price of $50k going by some of the conversations

But it is back on the road again and running brilliant I might add

I’m looking forward to a lifetime of brutally expensive Ferrari ownership with my sale proof F1 360 spider with 132,000 klm on the clock complete with sagging drivers seat no aircon and a yet to be fixed roof hydraulics but gee it’s fun :)

You didn't answer my question re the drivability of a L to R onversion.

I explained that the 50's-70's Pommy cars were designed to be ambidextrou due to wanting the US market.
    Hugely successful.

Ian has explained how a converted Corvette doesn't work properly for some reasons (this was quite some time ago.
You have explained how L to R 911 conversions are an unattractive proposition as well.

Does a properly converted 308 take anything away from the true Ferrari driving experience?,irrespective of where various parts are situated.
I'm not talking about trying to make a LHD into a concour winning car just giving a prospective buyer the factory produced driving, handling and braking experience.

If that car does perform as such then irrespective of price AND resale why would a punter not consider such a car .

I bought the Crab knowing it's history and my journey was interesting and notated on the thread you started here.
Whenever a hurdle sprung up it was dealt with and in the end I sold for a small 5 figure profit.

I can't figure out why 430 prices are dropping like a rock,
and 308/355 prices are going to the moon.
Or is it just 'seller wishful thinking' with the 355's?

Hmmm I’m wouldn’t be too sure about that..The last AC Acceca Bristol I bidded on the BAT platform said sold and I was contacted privately by the seller trying to push me to his unachievable reserve price..
