I have talked to brokers about LaF battery prices and have had personal experience with hybrids.

“Porsche sells more GT3 models with the PDK (automatic dual-clutch) transmission than the manual. While Porsche still offers a 6-speed manual in the 911 GT3 due to enthusiast demand, the 7-speed PDK dominates sales because it delivers faster lap times and broader appeal.

The exact split varies by market, but in many regions, around 70-80% of GT3 buyers choose PDK over the manual. However, in the U.S., the manual transmission tends to have a higher take rate (sometimes approaching 50%) compared to other markets.” CHTGBT

word on the street at the dive bar around the corner from the doughnut shop downtown is that initial allocations (first year run)will be assigned by Ferrari, and there after allocations will open for those who qualify- which based on volume of 296 ownership will be filled by those current owners- though it would be conceivable that not enough of these folks order one then it could be open to public consumption, but historically this will more than likely not happen.(i mean- you gotta sell the product you know what i mean)

the guy in the trenchcoat and hat in the dark back corner of the bar next to the piano mumbled in a low voice that once upon a time Ferrari was developing two iterations of the car in question to see the performance viability of both products before finally deciding on one. we'll see which one it is in a few weeks. it is going to be like reaaaallly fast. and quicker than the GT3 RS.

Post pandemic it’s a new watermark. Nevertheless replacement batteries for the hybrids will never be cheap.

The LaF is selling at multiple of msrp - completely different animal.
The VS SF 7 year warranty with extensions
It's a bs argument to say hybrid has a downside outside what is known - it's just not true.
Ferrari has made sure as has the state laws - these laws are only going to reinforce battery warranty - when is the last time you received a 7 year warranty on an engine?

Kids coming out of college know more about battery and electronics - they don't want to be a grease mechanic - sad but that's the reality.
You think in 10 years it will be harder to find a battery tech or mechanic to rebuild your Ferrari.
Talked to brokers - wow! I own a Dino the dealer / mechanics did not know anything like dealer claimed - went to an independent shop 1/3 the price and fixed in 2 days.
Please don't tell me this is not common - very few Ferrari mechanics know how to fix a Ferrari - the factory doesn't even allow a dealer to rebuild or do any maintenance outside of oil on an engine under warranty. Ferrari simply replaces the engine - the dollar value on a replaced engine is 30% minimum on resale. Let's talk about the V6 V8 hybrid engine - zero issues. Sorry for the rant but this "I know" stuff is getting old and it's ruining people minds with no reality. People hate hybrids - just to hate hybrids.

Ferrari showed the new, improved and compact LaFerrari battery system. All developed and packaged by Ferrari now. I know because I was there. Very different than the original battery system from 2015.

I have bought the extended factory warrantee on my 488 for the past 4 years. If you believe that forking out $7,500 average every year is great , more power to you.

In owning cars for 40 years NEVER DID I fear the car would break down and cost me 1000's

The hybrid 911 is a different beast.

Amaxing Ferrari patents electric Turbo however Porsche first to the market.

Either way the battery on the 911 is easily accessible. The Ferrari batteries are built into the car

The extended warranty on the 296 in the US is less than 3500 per year.

Well thats cheaper than the previous car F8.

    296's are not selling.

SF90 prices are going down close to F8 prices and Pista prices are through the roof.

I'm lost - what's your point. A hybrid battery can be repaired for under 1000.00 in a few hours.
No one makes you buy the warranty - it's your choice. What I was saying is the battery is under warranty for 7 years and longer in some states - zero charge

Let me guess - you own a Pista.
Thru the roof - you mean msrp, which is under the roof.

What does any of this have to do with the VS? If you don’t like the 296, just stay out of the thread.
