In Australia Ferrari was a major loser and it all started after failing to make the top six in Q3 after both drivers also struggled on Q2. Ferrari was non-existent on dry track surface and struggled in the rain. To make matters worse the cars were further slowed down by strategic wrong moves. Too many negative things which is incomprehensible, therefore let’s wait for what will happen in China and Japan and only then can we assess whether Australia was just a single episode or will become a trend.

Sounds like you had a great session, congratulations. I am going to TM on my birthday, April 9th, this will be our first Hyper car spec as well, so I have been thinking nonstop about how I want to approach the build. I am doing a custom color as well, I am working on it with PPG and the guy who mixes/paints my vintage Ferrari's. Looking to do something really different and modern, as I think it suits the car. Cant wait see the TM cars hit the road, they should have a much stronger representation than the launch car/coloration/spec.

FerrariChat's official language is English therefore below is your post translation from Italian and my answer.

The reality is that throughout its history in F1, Ferrari has won 16 Constructors’ Championships and 15 Drivers’ Championships. During Luca Di Montezemolo 40 years with Ferrari, first appointed manager of the F1 Scuderia in 1974 and later Ferrari’s Chairman in 1991, he has been responsible for 9 Drivers’ Championships, 60 percent of the total, and 14 Constructors’ Championships, 88 percent of the total. Since 2008, 17 years ago, the Scuderia has not won any Constructors’ or Drivers’ F1 Championships and this is by far the longest gap for the brand without a victory in either of these categories.

Seventeen years without winning anything are too many years and this, in addition to being demoralizing, that's what takes away our hope of ever seeing Ferrari and its drivers win the Constructors’ or Drivers’ championship again. Interestingly, these less good results in F1 have apparently not been reflected in any drop in car sales or merchandising, quite the opposite. So, as long as Ferrari is not forced, eventually for the sake of survival, to have to win in F1 so that its road models continue to sell as before, and this perhaps could lead to a change in the brand's leadership, I agree that there is a strong probability that in the coming years will be a repetition and we will continue to see a non-winning F1 Scuderia.

    YOUR POST

“Ferrari will never win anything in F1 again. The management, full of itself and arrogant, missed the opportunity to take the best designer in the world, Adrian Newey, left at Aston Martin because he wanted too much "power" within GES when instead they should have made golden bridges to bring him to red! They missed a unique opportunity that will never happen again in life, covering a FINISHED driver with gold (and even if he wasn't he CANNOT compensate for the performance deficit of the SF25, in F1 the vehicle is ALWAYS more important than the driver), losing the technical director (Cardile) and hiring the aerodynamics chief of Sauber, I repeat, of SAUBER!!! Let's then add the strategy wall that always does the same stupid things that not even a drunk monkey would do. At the end of 2024 they were very close in performance to McLaren but they incredibly managed, in a stable regulation environment and now at the end of the cycle, to completely screw up the f****** car after 4 years of experience with ground effect wing cars. Ironically, they lose to McLaren not only in F1, but also with the road hypercar since they managed to make, for the umpteenth time, a less powerful and heavier product than their English rival while recycling a V6 to save money instead of developing a NEW engine, just in case they don't make it to the end of the month with the bills. Applause.
Sorry for the Italian, I'm too pissed off to write a wall of text in a language that isn't my own. “

I totally agree - when we saw the F80 together in person at the private customer preview in Maranello last year , the impact of the car was much more positive , aggressive /assertive than (iPhone) photos convey … I left the preview exhilarated …

That sounds fab buddy !! Congrats on speccing your own colour to really TM this beauty ( and I believe it really is a beauty in person ). Totally agree with you , the Giallo Tri Strato looks so much better without the ‘spot’ decals that they showed at the preview … There again , as you know I’ve a really bias to triple giallos!

LMS has brown undertones.... and I'm not sure Ferrari would agree to use a Porsche paint code.

Yes, working on something that looks completely liquid, no metallic flake, something really modern like the car.

But idea of liquid F80 spec 11/10 by me....can I ask ? Your idea of paint shade is something like Mclaren F1 "chrome" cars from past ?

Absence of color is black, not silver/chrome. Something like vantablack is what is true absence of color as it reflects pretty much nothing. It also looks like crap. On the other hand going 100% reflective will make your car a mirror and it will reflect every color perfectly, which would look stupid. What you are looking for is absence of saturation which, paired with some degree of brightness and reflectivity will give you some sort of grey. Having said that, I would not go without some kind of pigmentation, as at least then you can control a little bit of what the car will look like under various environments. If you make a paint color with no pigmentation in grey it will probably "steal" color from whatever is around the car, which might frustrate you. If you don't like the brown undertones in the porsche color I'd suggest looking into blue.

You are correct, I was trying not to get to technical, I studied color theory in college and was just giving a basic short answer. But yes, really low chroma/color saturation. I will be living in the realm of a worm color, not cold. I do not know the level of reflectivity as the color is not finished but I do not think I will achieve a level that is like chrome, but also that is not my goal. I do not think it will reflect more than lets say a black car, but I need to wait and see.

They also do change things over time. What may or may not be available one day, may become the opposite in the future. It's just how it goes. I think it's a beautiful thing to have reached the achievement and being able to then create your dream.
