Haven’t seen a discussion on gold wheels in a while. I know wheels are a personal choice, like exterior/interior color, and to each their own, etc…. Just getting thoughts, as the “norm” on these mid engine beauties is black, grey, silver. Given that it was pretty traditional for the gold wheels on race cars back in the day, and it is/was an option to spec that way from Ferrari, what’s the collective in ‘25? I’m not talking about crazy, spider web design 22 inch wheels, just subtle factory wheels (see pics below). I think they are sharp on certain colors, with certain color calipers, etc… I’m not making up my mind based on answers (I’ve ordered a set for my RC 458) , Just getting thoughts on gold, or general wheel trends & colors in today’s thinking. **pics borrowed from internet….please excuse the horrible photo shop(chop) of the calipers, couldn’t find any RC 458 with red calipers and gold wheels * Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login .
I think this reinforces my want to get mine power coated in gold since to compliment my beige interior (Bianco Avus exterior).
I think it looks good. I almost bought a new 750S Spider in Serpentine Green with gold vortex wheels before I bought the 488 Spider. Gold works great on certain colors.
Agreed…that’s part of the thought process for me as well. My interior is tan, and IMO, gold wheels compliment different shades of tan interiors. Thank you for the feedback! Appreciated!
Love gold wheels - so much better than default black. Got them on my daily Image Unavailable, Please Login
I should have said bronze on green. I daily an M8 and I still dream of the concept unveil of that car. Perfection!

I just had my SF90 Spider delivered with Oro wheels from factory, came out amazing! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love gold/Bronze wheels. My current setup has my Boxster GTS with the satin aurum (darker gold) wheels with my Aventurine Green paint. My previous GT4 was Python green with the same wheels. When I eventually get my 458 I do plan on getting the wheels powder coated the factory gold especially if I can find one with the red paint exterior.

Definely a personal preference. I went back and forth on machine cut finish vs. gold. My conclusion was that if it’s the done right with the exact right shade (which for me was more Bronze/original Ferrari OEM color than gold) it can look nice but if it’s ‘too gold’ can look garish/unappealing. I found the same picture you had shown on the top post and my take was it was ‘too gold’ whereas the bronze color in the Speciale rims is ‘just right’. in the end I chicken out trying to get the right shade and went machine cut
I’d be VERY hesitant as well if this were my only set. If I were to hate the look, or get tired of it, I can always put the silver/grey back on. Actually bought the set for my 458 from sponsor here on FC …mathewr. Was great to deal with, an easy purchase/transaction.
I think the wheel itself also favors certain finishes. The GT3 RS open spoke type wheel seems to go with gold/bronze very well.
I recently went gold. I have always loved it and it works on so many colors. Image Unavailable, Please Login
