I was just plain confused about that, had to be politics why Yuki didn’t get it in the first place. That said, I don’t see Liam getting dumped after just two races, but I certainly could after 4-5

The politics being that Yuki is a paid Honda driver and the future of the team is without Honda.

When he first visited Maranello, before signing his contact, Niki Lauda said in jest:
"With all the resources at their disposition, and their experience, it's wondering why Ferrari doesn't win all the races".
That remark is still valid today. They are often near the top, but can't never put it all together to be consistent over a season.
It's baffling to say the least ...
If I was Vasseur, I would be worried. Ferrari likes a scapegoat.

It is but rules are rules and should be enforced IMO.

It’s much like running a CNC mill. You know all the clearance parameters and variables ahead of time and plan for them accordingly. If I crash the machine by .001” it’s still my fault 100% of the time.

No excuses. Especially at this level.

The root cause is sort the rear suspension out which collapses under load. Until they sort this it damage all the way.

Leclerc likely the loss of the end plate plus dragging of what was left on the ground. The plank wear is dire suspension design

What specifically did Ferrari change between the sprint race and qualifying? That is where it goes down hill. Hamilton and the car did the job, and then it all went away. And the sprint race format created a situation where none of the teams had any experience with the main tire they would race on. Give the teams two free practice sessions, then qualifying for the sprint race...and let the sprint race be qualifying for the main race. And yes, Ferrari is fourth, and that's where they belong and will finish the season (with luck).

In the world's most boring circus, called Formula 1, Scuderia Ferrari is elected as best clowns.

To state that Ferrari were trying to cheat, as is being said on many other sites, is giving them too much credit for being clever. This is just another disastrous mistake to go along with their litany of design and strategic failures.

But was it manifested with Chuck banging into Luigi on the first lap? Incredible . . .

Well its like human relationship, painful and hurting but still love the person lol

To lessen the pain and sadness, have a low expectation in a race weekend, it works lol

So far it seems the second team is Mercedes, with some margin. Things are less clear for the third spot, so Ferrari may have a chance to fight for it.
The season is long though, so there could be some changes.

To be fair, this wasn't a problem with the strategy department. Save for a small mistake, they've been pretty solid since 23'.

This embarrassing disqualification for different reasons, demonstrates that the trackside mechanics were pushing the boundaries. They knew last weekend they'd be at risk of a DSQ, but then they do the exact thing they knew could cause it one week later.

I don't think Ferrari are going to fire (or even can fire) Vasseur. Yeah, this is a low moment, but I think some of you are forgetting just how bad the Binotto regime really was, and the reality that there are still left overs in the garage from his era at lower levels. There is nobody else fit to lead Ferrari, and they know it.

This mess is something Loic Serra will be expected to clean up. He's the TD, it is HIS responsibility to make sure the cars are going to the track legally, even if he's not on site. He needs to get his ass to the track and figure out the car, and if a mistake like this happens again, then, yes, Vasseur will be expected to consider Serra's contract, as this is pretty unacceptable.
