The Ferrari dream team made things look easy, when they really weren't at all. It was the best minds in the business. Hats off to McLaren. If it can't be Ferrari winning races and competing for titles, I'm glad it's them.
Assuming the sprint points still count!? That Palantir AI thing didn't provide much help predicting the underweight! I think we only have to look back to Spa 2023 for an identical learning experience. A pit stop with Lewis would have kept the position and the points.
Not a good start to Loic Serra's tenure as TD. Even if he's not on site at the track, the trackside mechanics didn't do anything to the car without his approval and knowledge, so this 100% has to fall on him. It's his responsibility to make sure the car will pass post-race inspection, and a double DSQ reflects poorly on his judgement. Serra has a lot making up to Ferrari fans.
@SPEEDCORE Here is the full Ralf Schumacher quote about Yuki Tsunoda replacing Liam Lawson at Red Bull in Suzuka. Ralf: "There is a report from F1-Insider and I also checked it, Liam Lawson is already out of the Red Bull seat for the next race (Suzuka) and Tsunoda will replace him. That's not quite confirmed yet, but that's apparently the case." Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
The Jean Todt-Ross Brawn- Rory Byrne-Michael Schumacher period with so many WDC and WCC titles was Ferrari Golden Age. Ferrari was the benchmark against which any other team could be measured. It will never be repeated, IMO.
At this point it feels like there's something so fundamentally rotten at SF, that even if Elkann commissioned a timemachine to bring them back from their prime, the team would somehow still manage to fall short of expectations.
Somehow SF was able to not only make the cars slower, but also illegal in the course of 24 hours. Not bad . . .

https://www.f1oversteer.com/news/why-max-verstappen-isnt-happy-with-proposed-liam-lawson-to-yuki-tsunoda-red-bull-swap-for-the-japanese-grand-prix/ Max Verstappen unhappy with Red Bull’s reason for swapping Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda Red Bull are the only team in the paddock who can switch out their drivers for other active F1 racers whenever it takes their fancy. Almost every other team would have to rely on a reserve driver although Ferrari could call up Oliver Bearman if times got desperate. A report from F1 Insider has shared more details about the swap that’s now expected to take place between Lawson and Tsunoda over the coming days. They believe a meeting will take place on Thursday to decide their next steps but Tsunoda is expected to take part in his home race driving for Red Bull in two weeks with Lawson driving for Racing Bulls. The report states that Verstappen ‘isn’t happy with that’ but not because he’s got anything against Tsunoda’s promotion. He believes that Red Bull’s engineers have a ‘duty’ to build a car that can reach its limits in the hands of his teammates and not just himself. Verstappen wants his car to have an extremely sensitive front end, something many of his past teammates have struggled with. Furthermore, Verstappen is worried that such a fast demotion for Lawson could ‘ruin’ his career, although Pierre Gasly can attest that being dropped from Red Bull isn’t necessarily the end of the world in Formula 1.
According to Hamilton they made changes after the sprint race. But after qualifying they cannot be changed and must race with that set up.
I don't think I've misses a race on TV since the first one (Monaco) was broadcast on ABC's Wide World of Sports in the USA. I recorded today's race and watched the first 5 laps, then fast forward to the last 10 laps. Did I miss anything?
