Yup, and if I got CF I’d feel annoyed whenever the Ferrari CEO says they have industry leading margins driven by personalization and use of carbon, every single earnings call.
Myself, and a few others that I know of, have been charged over sticker on new Ferraris from an official US Ferrari dealership. Hence, my question about potential ADM on the VS Coupe and what others have experienced.
I opted for the AF pack, but not the carbon side sills or diffuser. I bought the car just for the VS allocation, and wanted to save a little here and there. lol
Bear in mind - that 80% of users saying they would pass is a misleading survey because a healthy amount of forum members are teenagers, Ferrari aficionados, car enthusiasts etc. etc. - point being - they are not owners nor buyers today. There is a thread on the forum asking “lurkers” if I recall the term used to introduce themselves. Many are young forum members who dream of owning a Ferrari one day, which is great, I’m not implying they should not be on here. But, they are weighing in on that survey as a hypothetical when in reality that is not a decision they have to make like those who have cars on order arriving any day now. Just a thought worth mentioning in that data point.
Just my $.02… Strong possibility that all this tariff posturing results in deadline deals and no tariffs or significantly less. The question becomes if that is the case and you happen to take delivery within a window of time where the tariffs are present is there some type of line item where Ferrari will credit you back or is it your bad luck that you just got stuck paying an artificial premium that is literally gone immediately. What will remain to be seen is how well the SF90 XX and 296 VS (assuming it’s likely hybrid) do over time. The secondary market has clearly shown a soft appetite for hybrids. I see no reason to believe that the SF90XX cars will carry the same level of premium that the 812 Comps have shown due to the hybrid nature. 296 VS therefore will likely follow suit. April 29th unveil should be exciting. I know we’re all eager to see it.

Going forward I believe all models will have the option to have the black plastic exterior pieces painted gloss black. This was an option on the 458 and 488 under door covers. It is back as an option on the Purosangue and 12 Cilindri/12 Cilindri Spider. I would speculate that Ferrari realized the no cost matte black plastic that scuffs easily if your heel catches it OR the optional carbon fiber was limiting them to squeeze some more dollars out of each unit by offering an option to paint it gloss black. If I recall on my 12 Cilindri I compared the exterior carbon fiber options and the black plastic painted gloss back and there was about a $10,000 difference. I thought it would be much larger and just opted for the carbon.
If you adhere wrap to the plastic you get a grain , not a smooth finish, up close it is able to be seen . This has been discussed before
Why not just buy their stock. CF is the best thing that's happened to the car industry. I would push in my Senna exposed full carbon body panels and they would flex back. Carbon is not an easy process and the appeal in color is growing.
SF90 XX is much more than just a hybrid, I understand some people's opinions on the SF90 Stradale and 296 but an SF90 XX is in his own league.

Looks good to you , ok. Strength hum. Its all about the resin. Take the resin out and you have a limp material with no structure , rigidity , strength or appeal. You have any idea what resin is used ?

LOL, you read that and that’s what you came away with? Resin is important for sure but you make it sound like the carbon fibre is a soft sweater just flowing in the breeze without the resin. Also, by definition carbon fibre is the fibre and not the resin. So your statement doesn’t make sense. Resin supports the carbon fibre and protects it. It doesn’t make it “carbon fibre”. So no resin and you still have carbon fibre, albeit not great carbon fibre. In short, resin coats carbon fibre and supports it. But, no resin and you still have carbon fibre.

But why does he need an interpreter? It’s literally not what he said. He challenged Cocoloco and said the carbon fibre isn’t what mattered but the resin did. His exact words were “strength, hmm” a direct challenge to the idea that the strength in CF is from the actual carbon fibres. He then doubled down and said the resin is the most important part. I was curious because that didn’t sound logical. If true, why not ditch the carbon fibre then and just use stronger resin? The fibre must be the most important part or they would use resin with something else to provide the desired strength. So I did a quick lookup and found he was flat wrong. He doubled down (probably to save face or who knows why) and now needs an interpreter to say he meant something other than what he said. Carbon fibre is awesome stuff. Resin helps the awesome stuff be more awesome stuff (but isn’t awesome in itself without the stuff). To imply it’s all about the resin is silly. To be an interpreter to say what you think he means other than what he said is also silly. He challenged cocoloco and was wrong (and condescending). It’s ok. He doesn’t need an interpreter. He can own it.
And...no carbon fibers, no carbon fiber. The fibers and resin are symbiotic. I'm not sure what point you're making.
