    What do you guys think looks best for tan seats. All leather, or Alcanterra inserts around your shoulder blades and in the center ?

    I actually had to go back and look at the pics. It looks like there are three versions in photos of original and OEM-like.

    Alcantara center insert with alcantara shoulder blade inserts. Leather for the rest of the seat.
    Alcantara center insert with no shoulder blade inserts/stitching. Leather for the rest of the seat. This is ShineKen's last pic.

    I am not a fan of #2 there as I think the missing shoulder blade part with alcantara insert doesn't look as good. I like the alcantara inserts when the inserts are a different color like red to contrast the leather. If the seat is going to be all one color, I would go with all leather myself, but it looks okay in black to have two different materials I suppose.

    Great question, and really cool to see how much detail everyone is paying attention to!

    There were actually four different trim styles seen on original seats and offered as spec options (some more rare than others). We’ve made sure to replicate all of them, so buyers can choose the exact look they want:

    1️⃣ Full leather (one-tone, no side bolsters):
    Classic and clean — especially elegant in tan.
    One-tone leather

    2️⃣ Two-tone leather (with bolsters):
    Leather with matching or contrasting bolsters around shoulders/sides.
    Two-tone leather with bolsters

    3️⃣ Leather with Alcantara inserts:
    Typically Alcantara midsection and bolsters — great for contrast or added grip.
    Alcantara + leather

    4️⃣ Leather with cloth insert:
    Rare, period-correct option with textured cloth center.
    Leather + cloth

    Personally, I think Alcantara works best when you’re going for a black or dark contrast — especially in a track-focused build. But for tan interiors, full leather (either one-tone or two-tone) keeps the look elegant and authentic.

    All leather is the “safe” bet, but a bit bland. Contrast stitching would spice things up, but you’ll have to contrast stitch the rest of the interior, which isn’t many pieces if you analyze it.

    Cluster
    Lower dash
    Center console
    Arm rest on door cards
    Pocket on door cards
    Rear pieces near rear window
    E-brake

    If you don’t do contrast stitching, I like the idea of suede/alcantara centers/shoulders to spice things up on tan. If it were cuoio, all leather for sure as cuoio alcantara/suede is questionable looking.


    Just here to provide pictures. I’m curious/excited myself what people choose and how it turns out. I’m hoping someone specs out something uncommon :).

    Totally agree — suede/Alcantara on tan can really elevate the look if done right, especially with the right balance of tone and texture.

    And I’m with you — I love seeing people go beyond the usual combos. There’s actually one very unique and super rare original spec we’ve replicated for a 355 seat… I won’t spoil it just yet, but it’s coming soon and it’s wild :D:p:cool:

    Once it’s trimmed and finished, I’ll be sure to share it here — it’s definitely not something you see every day.

    I think it's a totally different die.

    Still, for those who worry about telling original vs repro apart, that's one difference.

    I hope the repro seats are a success btw. I just can't justify the spend personally. If you can, enjoy!

    The glue TIR used is brown or turned brown over time. Doesn’t appear to be a glue used these days. They also splattered it all over the carbon. I had to do quite a bit of clean up to remove 90% of it. These are things you don’t want in a new improved version.


    Identifying reproduction and original is a non-issue.

    These seats seem to be a great option for those who want the factory carbon seats and cannot find them or do not want to pay the high cost and want a high quality recreation of the OEM version.

    As I justify spending the money for these. It occurs to me that even if I could find original seats, they’d most likely need to be re-trimmed, which would probably be $5000 at least. Right ? Lol

    Really appreciate the kind words and support, thank you all

    We’ve definitely seen the same thing… even when original seats do come up for sale, they’re often in need of a full re-trim. Which can easily run $4K–$5K+ if you want it done right with correct materials and stitching.

    That’s actually one of the reasons we started this project, to give enthusiasts the ability to spec something that’s faithful to the original, without having to hunt for rare parts and then spend even more bringing them back to life.

    Tan in full leather really does look amazing, by the way, elegant, classic, and so period-correct.

    I actually went for this look on my one-off 360 Challenge Stradale Spider — trimmed in Jeans Aunde blu fabric with black Cavallino stitching. It’s bold but works beautifully, especially with the right exterior color.

    Would love to see someone spec this for a 355 — it would be very cool and period-correct in the best kind of way.
    This combo deserves a comeback!

    It should be noted Jeans Aunde is a special fabric usually reserved for Ferrari’s Tailor Made program. Here’s your chance to go balls out without having to pay a billion dollars.
