He really did work for it and I believe has earned it. I hate that Honda chased Red Bull around last season and even offered $10m for Yuki to get the seat, only for Yuki to be rejected. Wondering if that $10m was off the table when they saw Lawson wasn't cutting it
Honda added another ten to close it. Yuki gets frustrated then angry very easily, but maybe he will be serene now he's climbed the mountain to the peak. Amazing how small he is next to Max!! Good luck Yuki.
Serious cash being added considering Honda and Yuki had RB somewhat over a barrel for that negotiation. They greatly needed anyone but Lawson
I don´t think is forbidden but as the mounting points to the chassis must be universal building it would be a real pain. Nobody would want to do that anyway for aero reasons.
Lawson still believes all he needed was more seat-time in the rb If Yuki can come to grips w the notoriously sensitive front-end of the rb and haul in points, well Lawson's time in F1 is not going to last past this season...
He is happy about the move and chance- understandable. The execution is all that matters and his first time driving this car is Friday P1when adaptation will begin. We will see how much he talks after. The sim is not perfectly close to what the car will show him + the tyre situation. RedBull have a a degradation problem in this car as well.
Sunday appears to be better. Any grip put down Friday and Saturday might suffer a bit with early morning rain forecast now. Sun 06 | Day 17° 57% SSE 9 km/h Rain showers early with some sunshine later in the day. High 17C. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Why didn’t they put Ricci Bobbi in there? I mean Horner love loves loves him, right? I don’t recall his name being mentioned.
It's not everyday you see a turbo-hybrid PU this close. 10 million USD for each unit. You can see the mounting points as well. Look at those precision welds on the last pic. It's probably machined by computer or CNC. Yep. It took Honda 3 years(Mclaren) and over 65 PU's before they got it right with Toro Rosso. Immensely insane.
I am really looking forward to the Japanese Grand Prix, especially after the disappointment in China with Ferrari’s double disqualification. Both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have backed the team to recover, so hopefully, we see a strong result from the Scuderia. The Tokyo Fan Fest is a must for anyone attending, always an incredible experience with a fantastic atmosphere. Also, if you are in Nagoya on Friday, there's a fan meetup at Shooters Sports Bar & Grill at 8:00 PM. It is a great chance to meet fellow F1 fans before the race weekend kicks off.
I've only been to 1 F1 race and that was COTA 2019. Compared to IndyCar and IMSA races I've been to at various tracks F1 at COTA was the least fun and outrageously more expensive. I watch every F1 Quali, Sprint and Race but doubt I will pay the $ and go to another F1 race. I continue to go to Indy and IMSA though as the events are superior for fan involvement!
