I don’t own a Rolex, but I’ve bought several. I bought Lin one a few years ago and she never wore it. She graduated from NP school in fall, started her first NP job first of year, and today wore the Rolex first day seeing her own patients. So proud of her.

I know a few of you have one. Would any of you guys be willing to educate me about Reverso’s?
I’d like to have a gold one.

Dave - nothing really to get educated on per se, its a watch you really have to like to wear, shape wise. I recommend going to an AD or a pre-own dealer to test drive, they come in various sizes/thickness/models, the shape is somewhat deceiving and actual size doesn't translate well in pictures, best to see in person to see which size fits you the best. Also, having the right strap will enhance the shape and an incorrect strap/color will kill the look. That said its a very versatile watch that can be dressed up or down for all occasions.

I like the Duoface versions since you get two watches in one, sample of different looks on my 7.5 wrist..

    Thank you. :)

It's gorgeous in person. Very much the red version of the hulk ... the dial pops just as much.

Dave, I’ve had my Reverso Shadow for 20 years or so. I think it was produced only for a year or two. I bought it new from Borsheim’s as a gift to myself. It’s small by most standards and has absolutely no complications, not even a seconds hand, manual winding. I really enjoy wearing it. I had admired and desired Reversos for many years and was determined to have one. I’ve always appreciated the shape of the Reverso and I like square/rectangular watches in general. I think that started with my father’s WW2 era Gruen. JLC is a great brand, that in my opinion doesn’t get the respect it deserves. I think you’d enjoy owning one.

    Pol,

Fantastic collection of Reversos! I’m “jelly.”;)

Would you mind posting a few more pictures of the mesh bracelet on the moonphase and letting us know the source? Thanks!

After about a year of searching I found the “C-shape” Omega Constellation I’m really happy with, from a collector in England. It’s circa 1970, so it’s a good chronological (heh) companion watch to my 1969 Seiko 6105-8000, and more appropriate as a dress watch than the old warhorse (pictured at 20574).

Believe it or not the watch is unrestored and unpolished, with a genuine Omega strap, but with a replica buckle. Although the lume presents in perfect condition it has long since stopped emitting so I’ll probably replace the hands with new luminous ones, preserving the originals, and I don’t plan to relume the dial. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of weeks and it’s been running perfectly.

To be honest I prefer the day placement on the Rolex Day-Date, but that’s a whole different category of timepiece….maybe one day.

The seller describes it as blue-gray but I can’t find much blue in it. It tends more toward silver in the light.
