Yeah well you’d be 100% wrong. Dealerships can choose to allocate their allocations that way but that is not the mandate directly from Ferrari. I’m sure plenty of dealerships will require 296 ownership in an effort to move more 296’s but it’s not a prerequisite from Ferrari.

The Capristo 250 cell sport cats seem the way to go. They don't require a plug-in module to clear codes and don't seem to put off a cel. I'm all for that there are less questions about it.

What's this for sure? You have no idea how many they are making. My dealer is receiving 4 F80s, and only 6 296vs spiders. One less than Pista Spiders. That's to a dealer in Southern California, so obviously a hot market for Ferrari. People say the F8 is more limited than a Pista...I've seen hundreds of F8s on the road, and only a handful of Pistas in a longer amount of time. The numbers are not known, and nobody here has a crustal ball. The 296vs will be limited in relativity, and the spider even more so. From my dealer numbers, I'd guess about a 1/3 of coupe production. Just an educated guess.

It is strange that you don't necessarily need a 296, and I know people getting a VS without a 296. My GTB comes in June....I suppose I don't need one, thought I thought I would. I won't cancel it though, and will take delivery.

Yeah I feel strongly I’ll be offered one without owning a 296. I bought an 812 and an F8 this year plus corsa pilota. That said, there are def no guarantees….

Which country do you reside in ? Here in some parts of the US allocation can be impossible I had both 488 coupe and spider and got turned down on Pista

Guessing dealers were allocated based on customers that qualified - VIP. Interesting what some people are posting. Are dealers requesting more - probably.
They should be careful on hybrid but it' appears not like SF90XX - SF90.
I think it's a mistake to vary from the XX / SF90, which means higher production.
Took my 296 out in heavy rains, wanted to see how it handled - brilliant.

There’s a video of mark maccan being able to spec a new gt3rs by jumping the queue with 3x taycan turbo s, which was negotiated down to one taycan turbo s and a used 911 turbo, with no prior relationship.

Someone who goes in to negotiate a bundle of the 296vs and the ev (if poor selling) can probably get it over someone with a 2 car history

So much conjecture. I’m just excited to finally see the car and hear the details.

I received PTS GT3RS that' due for del 30 days, No ADM no Porsches purchased from dealer. Manthey waived tariff - curious what Porsche will do.
Dealers with multi brands have their VIP's which may make a case for non 296 receiving VS but there are "qualifications" to get VS.

Ferrari tests their cars on the open roads vs track on the grounds. Dropped a sound, they love it.
Added aero hp suspension, interested in downforce. My guess 1499 - 999, how many Pista's were produced?

    Let us be surprised,

if the car will be expensive and will have no new features and sound technically no improvement compared to the standard 296 it will be a disappointment and very quickly fall under list.

    Pista Spiders ~ 1500
    Coupés ~ 2500-2800

I stick to my opinion that you will pretty much get a 296 VS if you want a car.

Interested to hear if any of our US friends decision to buy hinges on whether Ferrari applies the 25% surplus? I assume used prices haven't really moved yet. I'm not expecting Ferrari to eat the cost (or apply a lower increase to global sales).

. Ferrari will essentially eat the tariff on Roma Spider, 296 Family and SF90 family. Up to 10% price increases on the Puro and 12 Cilindri is what I've been told.

Was just contacted by my dealer inquiring whether I would be interested in the VS.

Do not own a 296 (although I t-h-i-s close to ordering one).

Just FYI and one data point.

Is that because 296 and Roma are coming to the end of their life cycle and plenty of used stock across the globe? So you guys are expecting harmonised pricing globally for the 296 VS? What if that doesn't happen (and not yet a tick up in any trade in / used prices)

Sounds tough pill to swallow. ~$400k car = $100k of tariff. Which is pretty much all of Ferrari's profit. Would be amazed if they do this....

Porsche will hold cars at Ports - this is going to be interesting.
Ferrari could sell a lot of cars very quickly at their dealers and if they waive VS tariff as it seems, could be interesting - I expect a lot of horse trading for VS allocations before they announce production volume - which seems to be the cog everyone wants to know.
Flip side - the world is upside down for "no" reason - 09 all over again, the factories / dealers are on edge, fact

I re-read. The comment above is correct 10% on selected cars. Also it's applied to the import value not the sales value. Given Ferrari's margin's it works out ok. So 10%, that's not that bad...
