Verde Toscana is listed as a launch color, but Rosso Imola is showing up as PNCC - Classic Colors in the configuration guide, which is essentially the same price $13,700 USD I'm not sure what Giallo Montecarlo is listed as, will have to check.

No just the camera gives a slightly different shade in that particular light. Those were the press car builds so all the same colors there at that time.

Finally saw the 12C in person yesterday. Looks moderately better in person but personally I think the 812 still blows it away esthetically.

I thought it was there, so yeah depending on code either $37,000 USD (PNT0, PNT1, PNTI) or $39,400 USD if PNTE. It does not look like they gave that color any special pricing for launch then.

But Ferrari does not sell the 812 anymore ... so for us who want to buy a new car this is it ... so why are we still talking about the 812??

Because there are about 50 812’s for sale with basically delivery miles. I understand if you want to spec your own and that’s crucial to you but if not, why buy a car you like less, assuming you like the 812 more. I personally prefer someone else’s spec on a car I love than my own spec on a car I kinda like. Different strokes…..

The Ferrari 12Cilindri has been awarded the prestigious Car Design Award, a coveted recognition in the automotive design sector. The award ceremony, attended by Flavio Manzoni (Ferrari Chief Design Officer) representing the Prancing Horse, took place today in Milan at the ADI Design Museum during the Milan Design Week.
The Car Design Award was established in 1984 and is aimed at projects that have significantly contributed to the evolution of automotive design. The winners of the Car Design Award have always been selected by a jury of experts, representatives of the most prestigious automotive publications at international level.
Five Ferraris have received awards in the Production Cars category since 1984: the first was the Testarossa in 1985, followed by the Ferrari Roma in 2020, the 296 GTB in 2022, and the Ferrari Purosangue in 2023. The Prancing Horse Design team won the prestigious award in the same year in the Brand Design Language category.
The ADI jurors chose the 12Cilindri because “the design of the 12Cilindri encapsulates the historical essence of the Ferrari V12s of the Fifties and Sixties, revisited and taking into account the aerodynamic requirements that today are a science and no longer just an intuition. An indissoluble link with tradition that looks to the future and has led this project to unite two souls, sportiness and elegance, to create an out-of-the-box icon.” Image Unavailable, Please Login

The 12 C is a remarkable design and deserves the Design of the Year award.

It will be fun to see how well the design measures up over the years.

There are a number of front engine V12 Ferrari’s which are considered legendary many years after their production runs ended.

Agreed, I think the car will age pretty well honestly. The screens inside are always a a concern, but also a representation of the current times.

Navigating thru several sub screens and menus, on the center screen, tapping to navigate thru the sub menus , squinting to see the little icons…. to adjust the outside wing mirror ? Or adjust the seat ? Or to open a window?

Oh wait I want to drop that window a little more! I want to adjust my seat rake too…

    OMG!

CRUNCH (sound of the 12 c hitting a tree)

It's not just a Ferrari thing, Land Rover is complete touch screen in the Range Rover as well etc. We all know and love the tactile buttons, but what we have in the 12 Cilindri we'll get used to.

I spent a few weeks in the SF and at first I wanted to blow my brains out with the haptics. I could not figure it out. Thought it operated like a mouse. Once I cracked the code though I found the system pretty simple to navigate within a few hours. I think people in here are overreacting on the system like so many other over reactions in this forum. Simply not liking digital versus analog is a whole other story, but its not the most complicated system.

When you're driving fast, you just need to put your hand on a button, without looking at it; so as not to take their eyes off the road, and the engineers who have not understood this are not very perceptive:rolleyes: !! I don't need to take care of a TV screen when I'm driving, my attention has to stay on the road !!

No! I don’t want to get used to an awkward difficult software system designed by people who are software programmers who have no common sense with driving priorities.

Why does your remote control have buttons at all?

Maybe it’s because humans have finger tips with touch sensation!

And of course looking away from what’s in your windscreen makes tons of sense. Getting lost in that wirlrd lower screen while forgetting what is happening in the road in front of you coming at 60mph or more is simply reckless.

    Gotta love the tech though!

Anyway just my opinion, and you are certainly entitled to a different one!

Back to the ‘time will tell’ great front engine V12s:
    250 GTO
    Daytona (original)
    F12 TDF

Great front engine V12s, that's a long list.

Daytona doesn't make mine - that car has never appealed to me. But your others do. I'd add the 250 TdF, 250 Testarossa, 275 GTB, along with a long list from the earliest years (I particularly love the 166 MM and 340 MM). I think the SP1/2 Monza belongs on the list, and the 550 gets an honorable mention for bringing the format back.

I went to the local unveiling this weekend. First time I have seen the 12c in person. Very, very underwhelming. I did not think it was a bad design but it was not interesting or exciting in anyway. My brother-in-law who is not even that in to cars said "it looks like a wannabe Aston Martin." They had a DB12 outside and I would say the Aston looked much better. I was really hoping to like the 12c but it just did not register. It had zero presence. There were two Avendators outside which I haven't seen in person in forever and man what presence those cars have. I am hoping the 12c drives much better than it looks. One upside is I could see blending in well with a 12c and not getting that much attention which would be nice.

  23. If I was in the market for a new front-engined V12, it would be the AM Vanquish.

I get that one is a FI setup versus the NA layout of the 12C, but if we're just going by looks alone, the Vanquish every day, and 3x on Sundays.

I like the sound the 12C makes, and the snappy gear shifts are magic. Interior cabin in more to my liking also vs the AM.
But…if you put a Pontiac badge on the 12C, everyone would laugh at the design cues. It’s just not there.
