Did anyone notice every spider in this video open their tops once inside the factory? That got me thinking!

Checking the roof mechanism's are working as they should in a controlled area.

Might be, but that could be checked at so many other instances... And that would mean no roof check if it rains?

As much as it may be hard for Ferrari to admit it, it seems to be a fact that the philosophy and architecture it adopted in designing the powertrain of the SF90 and later the F80, has little to do with innovation or invention and is heavily inspired by the powertrain of the more modest but revolutionary Honda NSX (2015) that was launched ten years ago. Below is some comparative technical information about the two cars that will help you understand these similarities.

When Top Gear tested the NSX (2015), in its final verdict it wrote the following. “Looks and drives like a supercar, but doesn't sound like one. The NSX is something willfully, wonderfully different.” Could this also apply to the F80?

The capacities of the combustion engines on the table are not in the correct position. The NSX is 3.5 L and the F80 3.0 L.

Thank you Mario, as usual, you have made another thoughtful and interesting post. I would expect Ferrari to come out with something that, at the very least, they think will move the game on. This is their supercar, their statement of intent for the next period of time (typically a decade). This belief is reinforced by Ferraris positioning of the vehicle. It seems to me they must know the car is really amazing. I’m really looking forward to the driving impressions and reviews. I hope the car makes its lucky owners feel that genuine sense of wonderment and takes them back to their childhood with the amazement.

What stands out to me when I look at the images is the size of the Honda battery back, in the “T” shape as compared to the Ferrari which is the rectangle behind the seats- and even this rectangle area looks smaller than the Honda. Yet the Ferrari has so much more power. And also the much more advanced suspension which I am sure adds weight, yet the Ferrari weighs several hundred pounds less.

Thank you Jerry. I’m also looking forward to the driving impressions and reviews of the F80. Concerning the F80 battery package, the evolution is indeed impressive, it is much smaller and lighter than the NSX and produces almost twice the Kws.

Switching 860V is much more efficient than the lower voltage but that was not possible for production back then.

I also have the same information. All build slots for cars that selected clients did not take up were taken back by the factory and immediately reallocated

I just returned from Tailor Made in New York spec'ing my F80. I was also told by my dealer that all the cars have been allocated and for some time now. He has multiple VIP clients still hopeful, but he has told them its 100% over.

I absolutely love that! How to make a car pop without colours. That’s going to look amazing.

black is the perfect spec for the f80 for sure, just to hide the racoon stripe!

That's not my spec, just a photo I saw, but I agree the monochromatic tonality with the pop of the white in the stripe looks good.

Not sure about all carbon, looks like a car that needs to put its clothing on.
