Well, we are just coming back into sports car season, it's still freezing temps at night in down here in Ga so maybe we will see them tick up in the coming months.

my two cents - it's a tick away from 30K miles, no daytona's, no shields. at this price point buyers are picky with the options they want. the buyers at 80K cars may be more ambivalent with options, etc....but this should have still done another 10Kish. Nero, manual, modena, nice condition, etc. Lots to like about this one. it also appears some jacka## dealer was making some comments that got flagged and deleted so who knows if that hindered bids. who knows. love the car.

Auction seems like a rushed way to sell a car of that spec.

Clean yellow ones seem to come up for sale more often than black. I think with black I'd rather sit on it on Autotrader, etc. until that person comes along who just has to have black. I really wanted mine to be black on tan but I gave up after a while.

Also, and maybe it's a bit irrational on my part, but I'm averse to auction cars and having to evaluate the deal and the car under pressure. And when I'm actively looking for a car I'm not necessarily checking in on things every week. That deep pocket buyer might be out there, but if you auction it you risk missing them simply because they're on vacation or had something else going on for a couple of weeks, or they don't feel like having to sort the deal out in a rush and on the seller's timeline.

Wob does a really nice job of presenting cars on BaT. Whether he sold for the owner or bought the car from the previous owner, that owner lost a little more than what is evident from just the price differential.

Of course with fees, that's a $130k result, not bad for the market in general but yes a stomach-dropping result from '22 when we were all a little crazy.

If you drew a line from 2019 pricing to this sales price yesterday, it is a decent result minus the Covid drama. Seller was brave to do a No Reserve and we presume happy enough.

The market is cyclical. Still, the bottom line is you have to pay up for the right car. If you're looking for a "bargain" you'll be spending the money after you buy it on the things that need to be sorted out.

Congrats! It seems the car maxed out at $60k after which there were just two bidders going higher.... with a rebuilt engine and many other repairs it still looks like a good deal.

It came with over $130,000 in maintenance receipts since 2016. So it wasn’t a “typical” neglected 360. It truly was in better mechanical condition than many 30,000 mile 360s out there.

Looking for a gated Modena, black/black, to replace mine (which I sold in what must have been an episode of insanity).

Will consider black gated Modenas with non-black interior.

    Thanks.

Curious, but are you only searching for factory gated cars or open to converted ones too?

    Jim,
Only cars originally spec'd as gated.

Thanks for your note; hope you are doing well also. Things are well here, but would be better if I can find another 360. Trying to duplicate my first Ferrari (2001 360 Modena, black/black, gated). Here's a pic I shot when the car was new:

I was watching that auction, impressive result given the milage and the fact that the owner did a lot of DIY on it. I think he even mentioned he did his belts in the comments if I am not mistaken. He kept records of it all and I am sure that helps. Makes me happy as a DIY owner of a high mile car.

I was watching this too, the commenters skeptical about the factory manual didn't even bid. But I like the outcome, especially since mine has almost half the miles as this one!

The 360 is so underrated. I am glad to see gated cars even with high miles selling for good money. I know many of us 360 lovers are out there. The demand for this car was so high during its production years, Ferrari had to increase production.

Agree, I cant imagine having $100k to spend on a toy car and not going gated 360.
