I love my pista dearly, i bought it recently too. I love the "analog" of it compared to modern cars. Cars alive and not a video game. Its a special feeling.

That being said ive driven a 296 and its one hell of a car, its a Turbo S on Steroids. The prices of them make absolutely no sense to me. The V6 sounds so damn good. Its a bang for the buck for sure. Im very very excited for the VS.

Just learned what the name of the 296 "Competitor" Lambo "Temerario" means in English/German: "reckless"... To be honest? I feel that "reckless" is "bad" in any way thinking about it in life. I would feel ashamed to drive a car with that name.... What do you think? Am I too soft??

Apparently a word with multiple meanings. I would hope Winkelmann got the correct translation:“The power and the numbers are one insight,” Winkelmann said, “but the emotional feeling is important.” Indeed. Even the name is weighted with it. “Temerario is the name of a fighting bull that fought in 1875, and Temerario means fierce, courageous.”

Can also mean "daredevil" or "fearless" and is the name of a famous bull which is often how Lamborghini selects names for their cars. They tie them back to bulls, bullfighting, etc. Not my favorite name for a vehicle, but I understand what they're going for.

I always thought that they named the big boy V12’s after fighting bulls and the Gallardo and Huracan weren’t.

I knew the Huracan was, but I had no idea about the gallarado. So I learned something new today as well. A breed of bulls is a bit different!

Also, talking about names, car names are just goofy so we can’t give them much thought. Purosangue sounds like the name for a neo nazi car if we translate it. Huracan or
Hurricanes kill a lot of people every year if we want to attach emotion. Plus I don’t like bullfighting. I don’t get caught up in the names. I like the displacement names that Ferrari still uses, or HP names like McLaren uses. Simple, effective and cool.

lastly, SV is the best looking variant in my eyes too. So cool. And the sound…

Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo, Hurracan, Aventador, Temerario are "all, without exception" names of "toro bravo", that is to say bulls who fought, then pardoned their lives. All were treated, then repatriated to farms to ensure reproduction. I should point out that I don't like bullfighting, but I know a very big amateur with whom we have often exchanged...

Come on, accidents are traumatic experiences, that’s a very low blow, just counter argue less sensitive points, I was involved in a very traumatic accident while stationary at a set of traffic lights, I can assure you that was/isn’t fun.

I read in a German forum, Lamborghini offer a discount to order the new Temerario. In France I hear the same. Car is ugly and to expensive is the opinion

Car guys don''t like bs - attend a car show and go in that section and talk bs.
No Mac accident - Porsche incident of which many have died from I walked away.
Downside of Ferrari - people like you that chirp, ask yourself why so few owners post.
VS is an exciting car - you and others can't wait to ruin the excitement, it's what you do best.

Really. Someone says bs they should not be held to prove it, welcome to the car world.
There is nothing to discuss but allocations - yet 100 pages deep.
Hit ignore - take a lot of my time and energy to learn share and appreciate those who post an experience. News - most of us are interested in VS - esp those receiving.

    Nope.
But I received the call from my dealer during an event with other Ferrari people attending.
He was very clear about the 'usual' sustepcts receiving a coupe or Spider.
It's the same group of people for most cars, just now a shorter list he said.
I have no reason not to trust him on that and he said the numbers are 15% less then for the Pista allocations.

Might look better in different color or with the car. If you look closely, there is some tape residue in both photos also that makes it hard to tell the shape 100%.

I like what I can see though, which is admittedly not a ton

We objectively know nothing about this car. 2 weeks away, too.
