FWIW, I was told something very similar. I guess I'd like to say we'll find out soon enough, but I suspect this will be a closely guarded secret.

It's honestly impressive how well they've kept the pics, specs, etc under wraps this close to the virtual launch. Apple cant protect an iPhone like 6 months before release. Granted, way more outside hands around it but still

The well known test mule. No resemblance to anything production.

IIRC, that issues cover had the F80 and SF90XX and all of them were very accurate representations of what came out in the end (especially the F80).

I'd be ok with the livery in a heartbeat.

I really hope we get this iteration but I think it is going to be a more subtle overall look. By this, I mean we will not get a 488 to Pista type of aggressive transformation with all the aero bits that feature in the design. With the 296, Ferrari went with a cleaner, more minimized aesthetic. I think they will try to keep that intact by adding light aero touches that don’t affect the simple lines of the car. I for one prefer that they go all Pista on it! But the 296 and 12 Cylindri are very differently designed cars than the past and I think the aggressive styles that the special series tend to feature will become more muted to accommodate the new direction. Let’s hope we get something closer to the challenge car or the MotorTrend mockup!

    I wouldn’t pay $650k for that though.

I think we’ll get a lot of challenge car. The side skirts seem to be from that, there’s going to be winglets at the back, maybe like the FXXK? S-duct in the front should be fairly pronounced. You may get your Pistafication after all!

The car we will get, at least I think, will be quite a bit more interesting than that rendering. I am merely referring to silver livery. I dig it. I know they’ve offered something like that at TM.

Goal XX VS combination, start to finish 8 years - SF90 2019 debut.
These things will never make sense - wish it was 650k :) expensive path to build a garage.

VS - hybrid club / challenge owners / special cf paint pack, peasants (myself) leftovers should be fun.
Considering reverse of XX spec - these are keepers.

I assume that the price of the 296Vs will also be good enough to buy a well specced and relatively new SF90. Would you still go for the 296VS?

I would go with ANY 296 over any regular SF90- and I did. Fun factor of smaller, more nimble, and rear wheel drive car that is almost as fast is more desirable almost regardless of price.

IMO the used SF90 value will effect the decision making but most VS customers are wanting to buy brand new and in the long run the used SF90 market will add downward pressure on VS resales
