Different times - Ferrari making similar models that maybe people do cross shop. idk
You owned SF90 - then bought 296, don't think many would, other than to get VS.

I've driven both and chose a 296. It's the more fun road car. The SF90 replacement though could be spectacular. They've learned a lot in 5 years. I'd spec that for $650k before a VS, likely. Or buy it used in 3 years for a substantial discount as seems to be the way these days.

    Agree but for SF90M 650k - XX @900k - SF90M @750k and may need SF90
I could see factories shipping to other countries, if one likes something that has a set of keys - buy it and be prepared for the words "market adjustment". ADM

XX a new world for V8 Ferrari, VS has big shoes to fill even at 30% less.
I'm concerned the days of the new US imports are over - it's no mistake as the "guy' who wrote the tariff law just happens to be an old time car collector and exempt older cars and parts.

If tariffs were ending new US imports in any appreciable way, the Ferrari landscape would be changing. however, doesn't appear prices or sales are increasing at the present time. Do you think we will see movement over the summer?

Way too soon to know. The tariffs aren't going to be on cars landing for some time, as I am informed they are assessed when the cars go on the water- so anything on the water before the tariff date is pre-tariff- deepening on the company, that could be 2-3 months worth of incoming cars. If the tariffs remain as they are stated today, I think we will begin to understand what things in the market look like in late summer.

Is this true? I was under the impression that they're applied as the goods pass through US Customs.

My 12C was air shipped on April 9th from Italy to California. I was told that my car would have tariff when it showed up at my dealership and put on the shop queue. The car will legally be delivered to me after PDI when I sign docs and then pick it up. I am hoping it will be ready by April 25th. It will be a longer PDI than normal since it’s the first 12C for the dealership also.

Asked ChatGPT to show me a rendering of the VS lol. While not super accurate to the mules we have seen, still think it’s cool. Curious if anyone else tries what you get. Excited for the reveal, I think this is going to be a special Ferrari regardless of the doubts.

US dealers are 10% down 2.7m from 3m same time last year.
Ferrari is insulated until they aren't - watch the pivot to gated manuals, add Hamilton marketing.
Not to get political - US flinches / Powell removed, confidence walks, think we are there regardless.

Can some please clarify whey the test mules for the 296VS do not have hybrid yellow stickers? Its been said by credible sources the car will be hybrid but even vvarys recent video shows the VS without yellow stickers while the sf90 replacement has the sticker.

Its how its been been explained to me by several dealers and you have @gzachary proving it- the air freight date is after the tariffs went into effect.

Interesting observation but presumably there has to be a point where the triangle is no longer required otherwise all production cars would need them - maybe its once vehicle is homologated or submitted for homologation (which 2 weeks before launch would probably have happened)

I am currently trying to understand whether the 296VS would be louder than the current 296 GTB. If I understand that correctly, the 296VS will need to adhere to new regulations in the EU and should be limited to 72dB. My German registration papers surprisingly list only 70dB for my current 296 GTB (item U.3), so if I am not mistaken, then this still leaves 2dB room for the VS despite the newer regulations that might apply. I assume that many of you have a better understanding of EU noise regulations, so happy to hear your thoughts on this.

Are US spec or North American Spec cars different or Ferrari does not do anything different?

There are minimal differences between the US and Eu specs --- orange light on the side of the front bumper and so on ..
