After a long back and forth, I am of the opinion that a V6 is nothing for a VS model. The 296 just doesn't generate that excitement, yes the car drives very well but the design and the V6 are not convincing it lacks the pithiness.
Ferrari will not deliver a second charge but there are some odds for Ferrari customers. So 3500 cars will certainly be built in total.

That means you should really want to drive the car, because it is not a collector Ferrari. But it will certainly deliver a super performance.

V6 is great for a special model. Formula 1, endurance, all V6 hybrids. It’s the current epitome of racing. I consider it exciting and much better sounding than any recent V8s.

No Pista exhaust are louder, same like XX. That’s a fact.

296 only has better hot tubes.

Have you owned a Pista? I did not like the sound, same with SF90. Dull, flat, and uninspiring. Not many highs and not much focus to the pitch. Doubt the XX is much better. If volume is all you want, get a Dodge Hellcat. I prefer quality of sound. My job is all about sound, so….I feel compelled to call it out.

google what 'hot tubes' are for the 296....no sounds is running through speakers...nothing simulated. what you hear is what it sounds like. The recent Ferrari v8s weren't know for their sound quality.

Pista is louder and sounds snotty. If I want high-end sound, I take a Competizione.

So why does a 296 sound different from the inside than from the outside?

You can't cope with the fact that nobody wants a 296 except a small group.

Ha. With 134 pages in this thread, it appears to not be the case. I'm still waiting a few more weeks for my 296GTB to come, and I'm very excited. I'll have to wait a bit longer for the SpecialeA to come. I guess you won't be getting one? Also, we are all still waiting for you to answer if you have a Pista or not.

The exhaust gasses going through the hot tubes sound different inside because by the time they are outside they’ve already been processed. From raw to processed. The layout of the 296 engine allows for this unique feature.

I see on this thread all the negative comments about how Ferrari allocates the new cars. And how it all seems so unfair. But at the end of the day, Ferrari doesn’t allow the dealers to add absurd mark ups way over sticker on new cars. Lamborghini and Porsche allow their dealers to run roughshod over their customers on new cars. I’ll take the Ferrari approach any day of the week and happily pay sticker on the allocations I get.

My bet is that the 296 SpecialeA will not be a collector's car, the car will quickly be flooded on the market and fall in price.

True in part - buying one F of everything to get limited does add up
We all love cars - no one is ever going to feel sorry for guys buying exotics and they shouldn't.
My second McLaren was a Senna XP and third was 765LT carbon "000"
My second Lambo was a Sian
All of these brands but for Ferrari has a much shorter line - we all know all the games.

Why bother to predict future anyway.
When we made any money on used car except very very few examples.

Does future prediction affect your decision?

I had 992.1 winged stick and PDK but swapped them for 991.2 3RS and 718 4RS - loved the frontend in 992.1 but did not love the sound which was very monotone and seemed less "engine" noise than even the Dakar or certainly 991 GT3/RS.

How do you find the sound of the 992.2 GT3T vs 992.1 GT3/RS? YouTube makes it sound a bit different but it's hard to tell that way.
