signed my paperwork and paid deposit this weekend for the coupe. played with the dealer configurator and rosso super car was an option - dealer confirmed it should be available (but as we know, dealers don't always get told 100% factual info :))

My dealer told me there would be a 12 months non-sale clause.

$30k deposit - cant remember on the non-sale - it was 12 or 18 months - plan to keep this car a long time so didn't pay much attention to it. :)

I don’t think it was a non-sale clause, but a right of first refusal for the dealer.

ROFR is pretty standard though right? I thought there is a non-sale clause for the Puros too? 30K deposit sounds reasonable. i thought they may ask for 50-100K in deposit

Possibly. I’m not positive. I just sign it because it doesn’t affect me, though I suppose I should. I paid $50k for the aperta.

Thanks. It’ll be confusing! I guess at least they’re not both apertas, so naming which one should be ok.

Out of curiosity, for those that have ordered the car and the dealer took a deposit. Do you currently own a 296 ???

i also think dealer dependent based on relationship and history. They will take this as opportunity move cars off the lot.

No they still have lots of time to determine the tariffs. But will be on these special models some shape form or another. May be 10% or 5% again the final msrp not yet set.

Has anyone with an allocation decided on seats? My spec will be nero alcantara regardless, but I'm split right now on which to choose. As I'm sure everyone knows that the standard 296 can be optioned with the racing seat which *might* make it seem less special, but the "Best Weight" seat looks a little unfinished, but also somehow very cool and raw at the same time on both the dealer and web configurator. Curious to hear anyone's thoughts who care to share on this one.

Going to be interesting to see the fitment and sizing on that “best weight” seat. I fear it could be low padding and uncomfortable.

Are you going to order the Verde Nurburgring?

I only have experience with the racing seat, which can be specced in every car. It’s amongst the best looking seats of all time. The best weight seat isn’t as appealing visually to me, but I hear that they are extremely comfortable. It may come down to how TM can spec them. I agree that it seems less special to get the racing seat, but they are special anyway. I had blu jeans aunde in my sf90 and am considering that again since it’s a race fabric, but the downside is that I feel like they get a little ashy from skin contact, if that makes sense. Another thing is that this car appears to be very raw for the interior, if you spec all carbon including the lower dash and lower zone. That is exceptionally unique, and I’m sure expensive, but this will draw attention to the seats more than ever.

Anyone who has played around on a dealer configurator—does the base car have a lot of carbon fibre already preselected?

Pre-selected, yes, but all of it is optional and not included the way I understand it was on XX.

Interested to see how it all adds up then…from the discussion in this forum, the pista seemed to have a lot of carbon fibre already included in the base price, but this time around maybe it’s not? Pista base price seems to be higher than the base of the 296 speciale, but in the end 296 sp probably costs quite a decent bit more comparing to the pista if going with equivalent amount of carbon?

Pista base price was significantly lower than 296 speciale
