The guy was walking around Ferrari Club concours in Pasadena last weekend. My friend and I watched him saunter through like he didn't have a care in the world. He's shameless. He was probably taking credit for restoring half the cars there. lol

I'm sure he still doesn't have a BAR license, so no doubt he's working on all these new cars gratis, out of the kindness of his heart. Besides, taking money without a BAR license would be illegal, and we know Donnie would never do that! lol

As for Leno, unlike Farrah he acknowledged that he got duped by Donnie and regretted the idea that anyone got taken as a result of seeing Donnie on his show. Not hard, and the classy thing to do.

Guys like Donnie just go until the wheels fall off, then tell big stories in prison to make themselves look cool. I don't envy him.

In this instance BAR stands for Bureau of Automotive Repair. They are the state agency in CA that licenses mechanics to work professionally, among other things.

 

I appreciate that you put out that interview, Scott. And I'm very sympathetic to the feelings behind the work you're doing around outing Donnie. I know we are on the same page as it relates to Donnie's (lack of) character and (lack of) worth as a human being and a mechanic, but we have this fundamental disagreement on how to deal with him. My attitude on Donnie remains the same. Any attention, even an attempt to humiliate him, just feeds his ego. It creates windmills for him to tilt at.

He is a part of the narcissistic sociopath zeitgeist that seems to be currently gripping our country. In my opinion the only way to deal with people like that, be they deranged mechanics, tech "geniuses", or political figures, is to deprive them of oxygen. Berating Donnie publicly just creates another story for him to feed off of and twist to his favor. He's a loser. I don't want to give him the satisfaction.

Were he ever to approach me, you can be sure I would certainly give him an honest representation of my feelings toward him. But I would literally not walk across the street of my own accord to p*ss on him were he on fire, let alone insult him or pick a fight with him.

 

Besides, I'm sure Donnie monitors these threads religiously. After all, they're about him! He's too narcissistic to resist. So I'm sure he knows exactly how we all feel about him. Lol

I Googled him before we met with him and I couldn't find anything. Obviously I didn't look hard enough. Now, if nothing else, anyone who even passively researches him, it will be an automatic D.Q. Yes, he's managed to get some new customer cars in his pig sty in the desert, but like La Marr Fike said about Elvis, how do you save a man from himself.

I know my point of view is not popular here, but here it goes.
Like I said before, I’m not here to proof Donnie’s innocence.
But I can tell you, that I am happier with my car being at Donnie’s,
I pull my car from Donnie’s place when he got arrested and took it to a shop recommended from someone here, and they were awful. Poor communication, charging me for thing that I didn’t approve or even thing that they didn’t do. And at the end they charged me a lot of money for a very poor job. I have already made a decision to take my car from that shop when Donnie got released so I give him another chance and it have not been nothing but transparent, keeping me informed by text and sending pictures of the progress. Yes I wish that thing will move faster but some things take time.
One thing that I did find interesting is that the other shop will tell me about how horrible Donnie is, but they could not find one wrong thing with the work that he did on my car.
And looking back I don’t remember they ever said any wrong with the other cars that he work on before either.

After clicking a couple YouTube videos in this thread, the pop-up YouTube alerts on my phone are now mostly for Donnie content.
