328 running rough at start up

    My 1988 328 is running rough at start up but after warming up it is very smooth I forgot to fill up before storing it away for the winter I was down to minimum level could it be the old gas.when I started the car to get some gas it run very rough no smoke just rough

    If the same symptom persists with the fresh fuel load = checking what the WUR control pressure is doing for cold vs warm would be my first thing to investigate -- JMO.

    Depends on how you define "after warming up". Leaking injectors do that quite commonly.

    Thank you Steve after filling up a1/2 tank with shell 93 the problem cleared up after a 2 mile drive and next morning the start up was normal
    Lesson learned don’t store the car away with an empty tank

    Very good -- you can't fix it if it ain't broken ;). The downside of Bosch CIS is there are just so many small clearances and small orifices that it doesn't tolerate long disuse (and formation of any fuel system junk/debris) well at all -- so just running some fresh fuel thru it is almost never a bad thing.
