    Dallas - Winnipeg is the first near-complete game I've watched in years. (on TV)

    It was nice the Refs let them play, and the game is sooo much faster than it
    was even 10 years ago.

    Two things I didn't like: why does one team look like they are wearing old
    Blackhawk uniforms, and the other team look like old Maple Leaf colors?
    There is no way I would have guessed that was Winnipeg just by looking
    at the crest on their sweaters (jerseys). I don't recall seeing 'JETS' anywhere...

    The 2nd is - I think there should be a ban on the computerized rolling billboards
    that are the boards now changing while the puck is in play, but if not that, you can
    only change them on one end while the puck is in the other end.
    To me it's a stupid distraction... but others may not give a darn.

    But it was a helluva game, where was Mike Modano? (LOL)

    those digital board ads are annoying but I saw somewhere it increased the NHL’s ad revenue by 20% so they aren’t going away any time soon :(

    I was not saying to ban them, I was suggesting NOT swapping images when the puck is in play.
    There are enough breaks in the action where that should be OK to do.

    Strange how each team has almost the exact same number from the states! It is like there is a quota. When I was a teen I flew alone and guy next to me was a professional soccer player. I probably asked something stupid like are you good, he said he wasn't very good, but was an American and the MLS teams had a quota there had to be so many Americans.

    23 man roster, NHL is one of the few truly international sports (lots of Canadians, Europeans, etc), so 5-6 Americans per team sounds about right. maybe the bad teams have more :p
