I love your passion for stance and making the F355 more modern, the wheel gaps has always been annoying and make the car look dated somehow. I am looking for some airlift solution as I go with 20" or 19" wheels, we have terrible speed bumps here
What are the rates the springs you chose? HR springs are progressive (non straight) front and rear. Fiorano springs are straight type, but rear is progressive springs (straight).
If anybody is interested in doing the same thing I believe the Nitron system is much simpler. Id look into it
Thanks. If you mean airbags, I looked to airlift systems too, but I wanted to keep regular susension on my car. So I just added those air cups. For me it is the best solution. check page 3, post #28 (you did reply already to that ) Much simpler? Sure, as he doesn't retain the adaptive suspension. The Roberuta kit is the only lift kit on the market if you want to keep the OEM active suspension. Period.

You mean for the install? I prepared all the electric install and air tubes myself, and went to the shop for the suspension swap. It took a couple of days there, but the guy were not very fast. I guess a good shop could do it in a day.
Looks likely I’ll have to take it to a shop as I don’t have the skill levels you have sadly! Should I assume a day for the electric installation & tubes (the bit you did yourself)? So probably 2 full days with someone who’s experienced in suspension etc?
I guess so. I forgot: you must have to machine a couple of shims too. So you need someone able to do it with the right machine (this is not something you can do with a file or an angle grinder). Everything is explained in the manual delivered with the kit.

Yeah I’m ordering direct from Japan. A guy called Kiyo is dealing with it. Lift at the front only, as I only need 7cm clearance at the front. He has just asked if I have the electric dampers on mine (I do it’s a 5.2 1998)

Yes, I would suggest you to do the same like me: front lift, and rear springs. This way you'll get 4 same springs. It is a little more expensive, and more complicate to install (not much) but you'll get a car with same type of springs all around (and the possibility to adjust the spring rate if needed). If lowered, ask the short rear springs, if stock the normal ones. Street rating springs are good.
I see that you mean. Standard front springs are 3.84k/ and 5.63k rear. Kiyo is offering 7k which is a firmer ride which you have front and rear. Has it affected turn in? Can you just buy springs from somewhere like Super Performance (uk) with the same spring rate as OEM or are the springs they supply specially designed for the air cushion hence 7k. How much firmer is the ride? Uk roads are pretty awful!

Chat GBT, but having just asked the source of these spring rates its now saying its not officially given by Ferrari. Its referenced this forum https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f355-shock-rebuild.425474/?utm_source=chatgpt.com and using other race shops. I think the issue is that the spring rate is much higher on this kit, because the suspension is shorter, if I just do the front springs I'll end up with a twitchy car. It suggests running with a 8k or 9k at the rear if adopting the 7k Roberuta to the front. I plan to us a 355 racing specialist in any case as I am a novice I just want to make sure i order the right springs!
No, the spring rate isn't much higher (+20% as noted for the street springs). It is perfect. Not harsh at all Go with the same kit as mine (front lift + rear spring) This way you'll be able to change the 4 springs later if you don't like them. Only important thing is to get the correct length for the rear (short if you want to lower the car or regular if you stay at OEM height)
For your information: tonight I drove the car with a friend who is used to sport cars, and he told me he thinks the suspension is a little on the hard side. I think it is just firm as it should without being uncomfortable (my previous daily with Bilstein coilovers was very rough and bumpy, this set up is much more comfy compared to it). Just to let you know another opinion... but again, with the rear mounts you'll be able to chose any springs you want from KW or else.
