There is A LOT to understand when it comes to warranty options offered by the factory. I've tired my best to simplify all of the current offerings and options below. I suggest reaching out to your Dealership point of contact to discuss your actual Ferrari ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Service contracts offer customers a wide range of practical benefits, from peace of mind to expert care and prevention against unexpected expenses. This makes service contracts a valuable investment for anyone looking to enhance the longevity, reliability, and performance of their Ferraris. Below you can find important updates and changes highlighted with “New” These updates went into effect beginning on January 1, 2025. Warranty and Service Contract Coverages: Manufacturer’s Warranty The new car warranty called “Manufacturer’s Warranty” remains unchanged, providing new vehicles with 3-year bumper to bumper coverage. This is the most comprehensive warranty, covering almost all parts of the vehicle except for specific exclusions such as wear-and-tear items (brake pads, tires, etc.). Please refer to the specific vehicle Warranty Booklet for more details. Extended Coverage Plus Service Contract The “Extended Coverage Plus” is an additional coverage option that can be added either at the vehicle purchase or later. It provides extra protection after the original Manufacturer’s Warranty expires. For more details regarding this service, please reach out to your Ferrari Dealership point of contact. Please feel free to reach out if I may help further! Steve
California T would fall under the " V8 " category I just confirmed with your chassis # as well just to be double sure. $5,400 for Power16 $5,800 for Main Power16 S
Thanks much! I am quite puzzled on why dealers would quote me $6,900 and $7,900 for POWER warranty on v8 when it states $5,400 in your post. Is that Dealer markup?
if you want to private message me the dealership names and the prices they quoted you, I am more than happy to reach out behind the scenes and gather a little more information. The power warranty inspection that is required in order to submit the application takes approximately 6.7 hours to complete properly. Depending upon the Hourly rate that can be an additional $2000…. So there is no mention anymore of a specific warranty coverage for hybrids components ? It's been reported here as 7- or 8-year coverage, and the web sites (for various geographies) were mentioning 5 years just a few days ago - but now it seems it disappeared in the US (and that a warranty extension is necessary from the 4th year); the 5-year is still there in the French web site though.
For the United States / Ferrari North America market: " Extended Coverage Plus " is literally an extension of the initial 3 year warranty on 296/SF90 variants as well. E.C.P. provides coverage for manufacture defects hybrid or not. There is another warranty where you pay a premium up to the eighth year, then in the ninth year, Ferrari replaces the hybrid battery with the most current variant available. Yes, there is a substantial premium being paid, however in total, it is less than the cost of a replacement hybrid battery at customer pay rates. I will create a separate stand alone thread about that topic as soon as I can. Steve
Thanks for the info....Is there still a discount for consecutive years and no claims?.....I believe it is 10% each....and did they increase the cost of inspection again as they did from '23 to '24? Last year the inspection/ enrollment was $941.50 and my Power warranty was $4551.75. Lusso V12
Steve, I much appreciate the info you provided. I have a 2022 F8 Spider and my dealership quoted me $8,500 (1 year) and $12,800 (2 year) for the warranty extension. Curious as to why the $900 difference against the V8 warranty extension cost you mentioned above. Are the dealers allowed to mark the prices up? Thanks.
Steve, I have just been quoted $ 13,100 by my dealer for the 2 year extension on my 2022 Portofino M . Not willing to negotiate so assume the difference from your number is further mark up ?
Send me the last 6 of your VIN, I will look it up on my side. Yes, different dealerships have difference pricing structures. Let me see what I can see on my side, happy to help! Steve
Good Morning, Yes, Dealerships are allowed to mark products up, if you want to send me the last 6 of your VIN, I will look it up on my side and see what I can see. Steve
Can you provide any info regarding 458 Italia's? In the middle of a purchase of a 2010, but dealer is saying they just found out the car is ineligible for the Power 16, after a month of stating they would ensure the car would be a CPO car.
Just recently found out about the 8th year. 488 GTB 18 model, Had the 4+5 and 6 + 7 full warrantee . Will take out the 8th year. Only complaint , zero things went wrong or claim IMO there should be a discount of some description. NADA
I was in the same position back in March, also did not use 4+5, 6+7 except sticky buttons. Honestly i passed on the 8th year and i wished i self insured from the beginning. But this is like insurance. You never know its value until something seriously goes wrong.
SAFE4NOW, thank you for all your information and making this thread for reference. I think it has been mentioned in this thread, but do all Ferrari cars that are over 55k miles no longer are able to obtain any type of warranty from Ferrari? And in that case the only option is to self insure or have a 3rd party warranty ( if there is such a thing)
Does salvage/rebuilt title automatically disqualify you from the Power 15 warranty option? Car only had cosmetic damage, no damage to chassis. Don't want to bother paying for the inspection if it's a nonstarter. Thank you.
I'm nearly positive that any salvage or rebuilt title for ANY reason can not qualify for any factory warranties-- with ANY brand. I don't even think there are aftermarket warranty companies that do them.
