It’s been a while since I posted, it thought I’d share this one. Dad’s birthday last Sunday, so Peter Luger porterhouses and the Petrus.

2017 was not a great year for Bordeaux overall, but I would wager Petrus was the wine of the vintage. Just getting into its window, but Dad’s not getting younger.

There are two Round Pond Bovet cabs. One is Eric and the other is Louis, which was rated slightly lower. Both good, but I prefer the Eric. If anyone has a bottle they want to part with or is able to find the Eric Bovet somewhere, that would be great! Round Pond is calling me when they release it this Fall, but I’m impatient.

I cracked open a 2012 Jordan last night. This is the exact wine that made me love wine almost 9 or 10yrs ago. I bought 3 bottles of the 2012 when I visited the winery in 2019 and this was the last one left in my collection.
