Yes because management is out of their minds. It’s an upside down tiering system of their inventory and a joke.

I said it in one of my earlier posts ... a lot of the "void warranty" issues are dealership specific ... If you have a very good relationship with your dealer and you don't want to do stupid mods ... you would be surprised what you can get away with.

I suggest the 12C is a more usable car overall.

I may look into it. I am generally loathe to modify my vehicles, but if I can select stealth or glorious and have the dealer’s blessing…

A cars warranty is with the car manufacturer NOT the dealer. If you don’t understand anything else, understand that.

When you change the exhaust on these cars you will have to reprogram the ECU as well. You’ve now changed how the car was designed to run. If you have a power train warranty issue the dealer must hook the car up to the Ferrari computer and take photos of the car and send the Ferrari.

The response to that is that a participating dealer will remove and reflash prior to submitting. At least that’s what I’ve been told. But that was another brand, not Ferrari.

Yes you can do that…. Lots of labor cost….the dealer can fool the manufacturer and I know personally a few that’s done that with Ferrari

If Ferrari didn't sell everything without the extra effort they would do a different 'export market' exhaust. Then bring back the real sound instead of the pale horse mascarading as passion... :(

It depends on the date that each car was launched onto the market. You can have two cars on sales concurrently that have to adhere to different standards.

I know that. Aston Vanquish was launched at the same time and sounds much better.

As you know, when everything sells effortlessly, there is no need to do... It's a different brand now... there is still no successor to the 12C in the works... it will soon be time to turn the page...

Better was the wrong choice of word. I mean louder. The quality of the sound is not so good but it is louder and that’s the issue in terms of regs.

Without a decibel meter we can't really know.
