I guess the title says it all. I'm not actively selling mine, but I have someone that really wants it and is offering a fair price. With two small kids I don't really get to drive it as much as I want, but then again I like owning it and I'm not sure what I'd even replace it with. Like most of us, I have that disease of always wanting something new/different. 488? F12? Maybe try the F430 spider instead of the coupe? Mine is pretty unique though, fully sorted and dialed in. I kind of need to decide soon.

I know it's highly personal, but has anyone regretted letting theirs go?

If it’s unique to you then keep it, not even a question.

I regret even thinking about selling it :D. The F430 is a keeper and a true bridge between classic and modern.

Well-sorted is half the battle - and it’s not a horse, so doesn’t eat much to hang on to it…

I understand if you have something else immediately in mind, but “selling to sell” doesn’t sound like a good idea to me…

I'd say more objectively unique, meaning I'll probably not be able to replicate finding another F430 like this (if I was ever to look again). Mirabeau Blu over the best interior I've seen (obviously I'm biased).

I hear you on that. I'd be more selling because it would be a very easy and painless sale for a good amount, and I can see myself selling this in a year or two anyway. So it's either take the easy sale now, or roll the dice and enjoy it for another year or two then go through that process. Mostly just thinking out loud here.

If you know you are selling in a year anyway and you’ve got a buyer lined up at a good price now, then maybe go ahead and sell and put the cash in a CD and earn a few grand to put towards your next car - especially if you aren’t driving it much.

I've put way too many hours into this car to sell it. It's almost where I want it to be lol.

The problem is I know myself, and I'll just buy another car whenever I find one.

+1 not a good idea to sell just to sell. pretty sure you'll regret it. if you are replacing with another Ferrari you most likely won't regret it.

Plus, if you ever change your mind it will only be more expensive to buy one back and it likely won't be as well sorted.

Sell it and get an FF. You can haul the kids and it still scratches the itch.

I have a 360 and an FF and I hardly drive the 360 at all anymore so I get where you are coming from. I have a 1 and a 4 year old. My 4 year old loves driving with me and those memories are worth whatever loss you will feel over your current car.

Keep it, it'll be the worst decision of your life. Your kids will get older and you'll have more time to enjoy it.
Now that my kids have grown they go with me on drives and C&Cs. It truly is a family experience.

Your wording clearly says you should not sell it. You are not ready.

I have spent many hours on mine, its had a lot of work and OEM+ mods. I think its quite unique and you will struggle to find a better one. I don't want to sell it, because there is nothing out there that floats my boat more for the money or even adding a little more cash. There is also better the devil you know. However, if something else did come a long that I wanted, well life is to short.

Well, I just watched a Doug DeMuro video on YouTube, so take the source where it comes from, but he ranks the 430 as the best mid-engine V8 Ferrari, with the 458 right below. Granted, Doug said the reason was that the 430 is available as a manual transmission and can convert an existing F1 to a manual, but it's still interesting. The rules for the ranking were no special models. So no CS, Scud, Speciale or Pista.

Personally, the 458 doesn't do it for me, but I love the 488 since I am a giant side intake person. The 488 is just too clinical of a car once I drove one vs the 430, which feels old school enough to be special every time I drive it.

When I purchased my F430 as part of the sale I traded a vehicle that was with me since 1990, the car was pristine and highly modified to perfection.
6-7 months ago I started to deeply miss that car simply because it was one of a kind and a deep part of my life, I went on the hunt for it found it and purchased it back. I could not be happier it was like reconnecting with a old friend, so getting back to the OP's question will you miss those special vehicles the answer for me was 110% YES.
If you're F430 means anything as close my advice is don't sell it..and just for the record I love my F430 just the same.

Not the same but relevant. I just repurchased the S2000 i bought new in 2005. Sold it in 2019 and regretted it. The buyer offered to sell it back. It's now in my driveway waiting on some love from all the wear/damage that was caused. I could have bought a better example but this one was mine and will always be mine. The F430 will be the same. It's like getting rid of a camera with all your memories on it. If you have the space for it and it's not causing you undo financial stress, just keep it. There is only one that will be yours.

That's where I'm at on my F430 - now that it's sorted why would I want to start over? :)

Thanks, I'm basically in the same boat. I test drove a 458 and F430 back to back when I was searching, and I didn't like the 458 as much even though objectively I could tell it was the better car. Agree on the 488, I love the side intakes. I haven't had a chance to drive the 488 yet though.
