Methinks a vengeful Penske employee finger pointed this out....not a good look for the series.

Marcus loses half a million prize money on that call and I trust his integrity implicitly....ouch...some tensions coming up in the team...

If it was Ganassi DQ’d it would definitely be suspect :p

Fox did a great job promoting and producing this broadcast (except for Buxton :p )

I stand corrected then. But I did notice the extra points awarded only at the Indy 500 for the first twelve qualifiers:

"Also, entrant and driver points will be awarded for Indianapolis 500 qualifying based on final qualifying results as follows:
    • The fastest qualifying entrant and driver (pole sitter) will receive 12 points, second fastest will receive 11 points and points awarded will decrease by one-point increments down to 12th fastest (1 point)."

I think that’s a bit silly, but nobody asked me :)

I'm sure they lost some viewers when the start was delayed by rain.

Not to mention, the GP2 and Porsche Super Cup cars provide more of a thrilling experience than F1, it's embarrassing. When you're at a circuit, in a grandstand or walking the fence line, and can only see just a small portion of the track, it would be nice to hear the engines in the distance to anticipate the action about to come your way.

I'll agree with your last point. I've only been to the 500 once, and I was lucky enough to get a ticket in Penthouse E that was offered here on FerrariChat, and it was a phenomenal view!

For those who've never been there, here's a sample of the photos I took from Penthouse E. Of course it helped that the 2013 race had more passing than any other 500 in history, before or since!

#1: The start, of course. #2: Dixon leads Sato and Allmendinger. #3: Eventual winner Kanaan ahead of Marco Andretti. #4: Will Power; most of my single-car shots weren't quite this sharp.

When it was apparent that the race was going to end under yellow and that TK was going to win, the cheering was thunderous! Easily one of the most popular wins ever!
