    I believe this was 8 days before, The Watkins Glen Grand Prix on 20th September, 1958. The car in your first pic may be car #64, Edwin D Martin in 250 Testa Rossa 0730 TR. Dan Gurney raced 290 MM 0628 #3 at USAC Formula Libre GP, Watkins Glen, 28th September, 1958.
