Hi everyone... Decided today to have 4 new tyres fitted and 4 wheel alignment due to fitting new rear tie rod ends.. All seemed OK then when pulling into my garage I noticed a slight knock coming from my steering wheel... I decided to take both front wheels off and inspect front steering rack ends (tie rod ends) left side nice and strong no play but right side If I grab hub at 9 and 3 o clock I get slight left right play followed by knocking noise...could this simply be an alignment issue or because the alignment has been performed it has revealed a worn on steering tie rod?? Sorry if this is obvious but would like other people's thoughts.... Or if they have encountered a similar scenario? Comments greatly appreciated
Mines the same, it will be a worn rod end, I've just ordered mine and waiting for it to arrive, easy to change, trying a pattern part as it's less than a quarter of oem part, I'll see what quality is like when its here.
Got my aliexpress special track rod ends and they seem good quality, worth the saving over oem especially as oem ones aren't perfect. Item is: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EzqmOc6 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
