Trying to compensate for his lack steering feel even w/ the new front suspension........... Stella: Norris “tried too hard” in disappointing F1 Canadian GP qualifying
With that victory Ferrari legacy of competition and victory continues. A true event and win. F1 has a long way to go equal such efforts. Well done Robert and Ferrari!
This will not be a surprise at all if true.......... Max Verstappen may have lost out to George Russell in qualifying, but Helmut Marko isn’t fazed as he believes Mercedes’ tyre wear is “significantly worse” than Red Bull’s.
LOL As George Russell and Max Verstappen line up on the front row of the Canadian GP grid, Toto Wolff has quipped that if they take each other out, Mercedes could still win with Kimi Antonelli.
Latest ive seen on tires for the leaders. --While they will start from the first row of the grid, Max Verstappen and George Russell do have to deal with a possible strategy disadvantage at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In qualifying, many drivers opted to complete laps on medium tyres instead of the C6 soft tyres. As a result, both Verstappen and Russell do not have a new set of medium tyres available to them for the Canadian Grand Prix. On the other hand, the two Ferraris and the two McLarens do have a fresh set of mediums available to them. The frontrunners have no new soft tyres at their disposal, but they all have two fresh hard tyres as well, other than Russell. The pole sitter only has a single hard as well, therefore, if there is a two-stop, he will have to use a set of already used tyres.-- https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/verstappen-faces-tactical-disadvantage-at-the-canadian-gp-compared-to-rivals
